REIGN
One class then I can finally sleep. Last night I couldn't sleep...well most nights I can't sleep. I've always struggled with it. I get nightmares for the most part or sleep paralysis. My parents say it's formed by stress and anxiety. They tried to get me help but I find the best thing is weed, it helps me sleep better.
Last night I forgot to smoke and got really exhausted. I ended up having two nightmares which was unfortunate. Nothings happened in my life for me to be traumatised enough for these dreams to occur. But they do. And they make me grouchy.
For the past week, I keep bumping into that damn girl. Clark said her names Amy? Or Andy? I don't remember.
She is gorgeous, very gorgeous. Like breathtaking but so annoying to be around. She has a habit of staring at me in weird moments and seems to be quite clumsy.
As I take my usual seat next to her in Ethics, I notice how different she looks. Shes wearing her long hair down today, it's a beautiful dark brown with subtle curls.
Her brown eyes remind me of chocolate buttons which are my favourite. Shes wearing a floral dress, with white air forces. Which makes me kind of chuckle.
"Reign Matthews?"
"Yep."
"Amara Cameron."
That's her name! Amara!
She looks up at our teacher, "Yeah."
After the register, we start the class. I tend to zone off for the most part. I am listening but my mind is able to split to multiple things quite easily.
Then I feel a nudge, a nudge from her. She looks up at me with a nervous smile, "Um can grab my pen please? I dropped it by your foot."
I look at her pencil case which seems full of stationary, "Why can't you use one from there?"
She frowns, "My notes are colour coordinated. I need my red pen."
"Oh you need it now."
"Just grab it please."
"Hmmm. How about no. You grab it."
Then her friend scoffs, "Listen here long legs, grab the pen or else I'll spit in your coffee."
I chuckle, "That was the worst attempt of scaring me."
Amara sits up straight, "Fine I'll get it myself. She leans down, with her hand on my thigh while trying to grab the pen. There's barely any space between us so we are really close.
Once she grabs it, she rolls her eyes at me.
"Don't be like that princess. I was only messing."
"Nope. You were being a dick but okay."
I shrug, "If you say so."
For the rest of the class, she doesn't say a word to me and just avoids all eye contact. I find it quite...cute.
Once we're done, the teacher sets the homework and lets us out. I practically run to my dorm and straight to my room, where I leap onto my bed. My phone starts ringing and it's my dad. He has been calling me nonstop for two days now.
"Hello? Favourite child speaking."
He chuckles, "You're the only child. And you aren't picking up. I was getting worried there kid."
"I know dad but I was busy."
"I hope you are behaving and aren't finding it too hard. If you need any help remember to call! Okay?"
