Y/n pov:
As you looked outside the jet window, you saw the tower where you were to be staying for however long your dad had said. You weren't actually listening to the hour (20 minute) long explanation your dad had given to you about where you were staying, what tower level you were on, about school arrangements and all that need-to-know, but boring stuff. Meanwhile, you were thinking about what your friends and brother might be doing without you, and all you were going to be missing out on during your stay.
You felt a thump as the jet landed, and you got up to see more clearly out of the window. You saw Tony, or Uncle Tones as you called him, walking out of one of many doors on the roof.
You hopped down the steps and went racing over to him to give him a hug.
" Hey y/n how are you? How was the flight?"
" Flight was boring, but I'm good now!"
you said while jumping up and down looking around the roof in excitement.
" Well, someone's excited" Tony said, laughing as you continued to jump around.
" Come on, let's get inside. I have people who want to meet you tomorrow so you'll need rest."
You stopped your continuous jumping at this information and looked at Tony nervously.
You didn't like the thought of new people.
Tony noticed your look and sudden change of attitude.
" Hey kid, don't be nervous, they're going to love you, and you are going to have a great time here in New York!"
You nodded and followed him down the stairs using all your might to not start jumping like a mad thing again.
Time skip because I want to

Y/n pov:
You were sitting in your room reading Wattpad (because who wouldn't spend 8-9 hours each day reading fanfiction?) when you heard a noise outside your door and decided you weren't about to take any chances with Tony's security systems.
"GiGi, whose outside and why?" you said speaking to your AI
(your dad bought you and your brother a basic AI each for safety reasons, and you decided to tweak it a bit (a lot)).
"There appears to be no one actually outside in the corridor Miss, but Mister Barton is in the vents above the corridor. Would you like me to count this as just outside your room?"
"Yeah thanks GiGi, add that to the list"
"Of course Miss Y/l/n"
(your/last/name)
"Thanks G's, I'll go talk to him, I have to talk to them at some point, right?" GiGi chose not to respond as she was used to your common rhetorical language.
You opened your door and looked around. After checking that the coast was clear, you spoke:
"you know, just because I'm new here doesn't mean I don't pay attention, you can come out of the ceiling, I know you are there!"
Clint's pov:
Tony had told us to let y/n settle in, but I wanted to at least see her before waiting and talking to her later with the others tomorrow night. I climbed in the vents and went to her floor. I saw Tony appear with a kid walking slowly behind him. She looked around 13-15, this must be y/n. She slowly caught up to him. She looked tired and nervous. The poor kid is probably confused to be in this strange place with lots of strange people.
I jumped slightly when Tony spoke "Here we go kid, I'm sure everything will get better, okay, and don't be too nervous about meeting the others. I'm sure you are going to be really close, especially with Nat, you and her are very similar." She groaned in reply, and Tony chuckled "Is the jetlag finally catching up to you? What happened to the jumping little kid I was just talking to upstairs?" She looked up at him and replied weakly "what do you think, genius?" Although she sounded tired and annoyed, I caught a hint of sarcasm in her voice. She insulted Tony!
I knew we were going to be friends!
Tony laughed, then he said about how we were (well I was) going to let her settle in, and that he would be back in around 4 hours to check in on her. I wanted her to turn around so I could see her face, but she entered her room without a backward glance, so I decided to wait until she came out to explore the rest of her floor.
Almost an hour and a half later she popped her head around the edge of the doorway and she looked around almost as if to check that no one was there, and then she stepped fully out, closing the door behind her. She walked to the centre of the corridor. I expected her to go and explore the kitchen, or watch a movie on the TV, you know, like you would expect every other kid to. Instead she just stood there. She looked like she was thinking, until she looked straight at the ceiling near my vent and I finally got a good look at her face. She had short dark blond hair with a few natural highlights dotted about, she had pale pinkish skin except around her cheeks where they were a darker pink colour she had blue misty eyes and rose pink lips.
(Sorry if this isn't what you actually look like but this is what I imagined my Y/n would be like in Marvel) Even though she was frowning, she looked like an overall nice person which made me want to get to know her even more.
What happened next was unexpected.
She spoke.
She talked in an English accent which sounded so posh and educated compared to all the American ones around here.
I hadn't heard that accent in a long time, it's a nice change.
"You know just because I'm new here doesn't mean I don't pay attention, you can come out of the ceiling, I know you are there."
My mouth dropped open. How did she know that I was there? Then I thought back to what Tony said "especially with Nat, she and you are very similar." He was right, she was just like Nat, now what am I going to do about her knowing I am here?
I decided it would be rude to just leave without saying hello, so I jumped out of the vent.
"Hi, are you y/n?"
Y/n pov:
He jumped out of the vent and said
"Hi, are you y/n?"
"Yep, and I suppose Tones told you that?"
"Tones?"
"Yeh, um Tones, Tony, you know, Tony Stark,
The guy with far too much money?
The one who owns the tower?
The Avenger?"
"Oh, Tin Can, yep I know him, I work with him actually, and yeah he's the one who told me about you" he said smiling. Why is everyone so happy around here?
I cracked a smile at this, my mind screaming, OMG TIN CAN!!!!! How did I not think of that!
"I'm Clint nice to meet you"
"Nice to meet you too, Hawkeye, oh and I'm definitely stealing 'Tin Can'! Another name added to the collection! It really suits him, get it? 'Suits' him?" I said, shaking his hand as he laughed at my joke.
(AN: Pun intended!- I always wanted to say that!)
(A/N=author's note)
I spent a little more time getting to know Clint and gathering info on everyone else too, so I'd know what to expect when I meet them. He told me his wife was expecting a daughter and he already had a son. He also said I could come and meet them as long as I kept it a secret for their safety. I don't usually like younger kids, but I liked it when he said I could be their honorary big sister. I always wanted to be a big sister, as I know how much my big brother meant to me when I was growing up, he helped me in ways only another kid could. (I always thought I would be a good role model.) I was excited I might be able to be that for someone.
