The black-haired girl is heavily inspired by the song “The Burninh of a Salem Witch” (which I listened to on repeat that evening) and the actual witch hunts. Her name is Fern, at least that's what the media thinks. She became a wanted criminal after she burned down her own village, and only spiraled down from then on.
The second girl is Aya. She doesn't have much of a story, just a name and design.

The three characters at the bottom (Malulani, Lien and Aoki) are in the same idol group.
Malulani loves the sea and space, she's a social butterfly and mediator.
Lien is obsessed with his plants and he dislikes when he gets called a “femboy”. He's very shy at first, but once you get to know him better he becomes the most smug and snarky piece of shit. Basically a sadist in disguise.
Aoki often gets teased for his horrible taste in clothing. He combines the most random colors and patterns without a single care in the world. He's quiet and completely overworked because he's a people pleaser and everyone always dumps their responsibilities on him.
The black-haired girl in the top doesn't have a name yet. She died once before, now she's under the influence of a poison that makes her a mindless zombie.
The pink-haired fish creature at the top left has neither a name nor a story, although I could probably come up with one if I tried.
