Before we even leave the complex, someone else joins the team. Joe from earlier. According to David, hes one of the best fighters we have. Just seeing him makes my heart beat faster. I don't know why the fuck it does that, but it does.
"What's up Catherine?" he said to me when he got into the car.
"Oh nothing much, just preparing to go on a life changing mission. It's gonna take forever, so I think I might start to miss Jacksonville"
"Well then, the sooner we leave the better" david replied to me.
"Wow, I feel so targeted right now" I replied, and we both burst out laughing.
"Let's get this show on the road" David told us.
After about an hour of driving, we approach a sign that says that we're leaving Jacksonville. After this, we start thinking of what we're looking for.
"So are we going to use the amplifiers to search for signatures, and see if we can find anything?" Joe asked us while we found a hotel to stay at.
"Yeah. Probably, but the weekend will probably mostly be driving since it's going to be such a long drive to Macon. Although we might spend a few days there. Looking for clues. The trip route we were given is kind of broad, so there may be days where nothing interesting even happens"
After we find a hotel for the night, we all shower, and get in bed. I sleep next to David, while joe sleeps alone.
"Good night David" I said to him as I drifted off to sleep

As I'm watching April fall asleep, I'm realizing the true weight I bear. With my secret, if April finds out, she might kill me.
It's a less than optimal secret to have, one could say.
Good night to you to April, I hope the past doesn't catch up to me.
