Chapter twelve : Taehyung Is In Love.

JiMin POV.

I wake up with a start.

I look around and frown.

I'm in a room I don't recognize.

I jump a second time when I notice Taehyung's presence.

He's sitting in a corner of the room, his clothes stained with blood as well as a knife, also stained with blood.

Head down.

I look at him.

He doesn't move.

Me: ... Whose blood is this?

Taehyung: ...

Me: Where's Hoseok?

Taehyung: In the basement.

Me: ...

Taehyung: Alive.

Me: ...

I'm relieved to hear that Hoseok is okay. But I'm still worried.

I wonder who all this blood belongs to.

But I'm afraid to ask.

He might get mad and hit me or rape me like last time.

So I keep quiet.

He gets up and drops the knife on the floor then approaches the bed where I am.

He climbs up and crawls to me before sitting cross-legged.

Now that he is close to me, I can notice the traces of tears under his eyes.

Did he cry?

Me: Um... Are you okay?

Taehyung: ...No. It's not okay.

His body is shaking.

Taehyung: JungKook is dead.

Me: ...

Taehyung: And I'm in love with you.

Me: ...

Taehyung: ...

Wha-

Taehyung: Hoseok is fine. You can go see him if you want. The bedroom door is unlocked.

I look at him for a moment then jump out of bed and head for the exit door.

But I stop in front of the door.

I glance at Taehyung.

He lays down, curled up on the bed and his body continues to shake.

I hesitate but eventually turn around and go back to the bed.

By his side.

I put my hand in his hair.

Me: You should... Take a shower.

Taehyung: Go see your ex.

Me: ... Later.

Taehyung: ...

Me: ...

Taehyung: I don't deserve your fucking compassion. Don't be nice to me. Go see your ex.  You have a chance to escape from this place so take it...

Me: ...

Taehyung: Right now, I don't have the strength to run after you anymore, I don't have the strength to fight anymore, I don't have the strength... I don't have the strength... I don't have the strength...

I don't know why I'm doing this but...

I lie down next to him and give him a hug.

Which visibly surprises him because he stops shaking.
