I've heard that he has already moved a new Mistress into the South Palace, and Her Majesty even likes the new Mistress." Rashta wailed out as Duke Ergi bent down next to her "A new Mistress...? Do you mean Evalie? You shouldn't jump to conclusions until he announces it publicly." Duke Ergi said looking at Rashta with a reassuring tone "But everyone's whispering about how His Majesty's taking up with an even younger Mistress. And when we were meeting the petitions with Her Majesty today..." Rashta trailed off looking down "What happened?" Duke Ergi asked curious "I recently...Handed out a severe punishment to my personal maid because she attempted to put a curse on me. I needed to make an example out of her. Instead, he told me off, saying that this was my fault because I had imprisoned her without his permission or Her Majesty's knowledge since she was also her maid as well. To tell you the truth, that maid is quite pretty, so His Majesty secretly had eyes for her, and Her Majesty allowed and enjoyed seeing the maid fancy His Majesty. The maid also carried a touch for him." Rashta said trying to keep herself calm and soon realized what she said "Oh! But d-don't get me wrong, that's not why I punished her. I..." "Your Majesty, the top contenders for the maid positions have arrived. But most of them have parents that are prisoners, so they won't follow Palace etiquette that well." Diane said as she poured some tea into her cup "That is fine. Don't worry." Angelica said taking a sip of the tea 'I know that Rashta had hired all of them, so why don't I gift a few to her of them? I honestly don't need that many maids because I already have my Ladies-In-Waiting, but if I hand over a few maids to Rashta, then she will be responsible for what they do.' Angelica thought with a small smirk and stood up as Diane let in the ladies "So you all are the top contenders. You all seem bright and very productive ladies." Angelica said giving them a soft smile "While some of you will be working with me I must say that you will be serving me and Lady Rashta. Since Lady Rashta one has one personal maid, I want her to have more so please take good care of her." Angelica said as the ladies looked at her with admeration and nodded bowing to her "Of course, Your Majesty." They all said as they left "Why didn't you just hire them as your personal maids?" Diane asked as Angelica walked over to a window "Because I want them to prove their loyalty. I want to see who they will serve forever, me or Rashta. Time will tell." Angelica said as Cecilia and Countess Eliza walked in with a tray of food, tea, and some desert "Your Majesty, the chef has cook a lovely meal with chicken." Cecilia said with a smile.

Angelica walked back to her seat but before she could sit down the smell of the chicken made her gag as she felt dizzy "Your Majesty!?" Diane and Cecilia quickly went over to her side "Are you okay, Your Majesty?" Countess Eliza asked covering the meal with with the tray "Y-Yeah. I've just been feeling sick and dizzy." Angelica said rubbing her head for a moment 'Wait...' Angelica thought quickly before running over to her calender looking at the date as her eyes widened.
