Chapter 7- Falling into an Abyss

Hello lovely readers! I apologize for my absence. But, from this point on, I have decided that I will go ahead with the same storyline like the movie, where Neteyam dies. Then once done, I will add a different ending, where he doesn't die. So, remember this is the part where Neteyam dies, so please be ready for some tears to fall.

Third Person POV

Climbing over the grates toward the ceiling of the flying ship, Tarya, Neteyam and Lo'ak come to the edge as they see some guards escorting Spider. Tarya brings out her knife from the side of her leg, as does Lo'ak and Neteyam. Once directly below them, all three jump down, Tarya landing directly on top of one of the humans, effectively knocking the man unconscious. Lo'ak pushes one man against the wall, knocking him prone and probably disoriented. Neteyam, pushes another over the railing then Spider goes to the guy that is slowing getting up and removes his mask, sealing his fate and punching him in the face.

One man gets up from being knocked down and goes to grab his gun, but Tarya jumps and knocks the man down, and as she brings him to the floor, she stabs him in the face, killing him instantly. Tarya stands and glances around, making sure no one else is left standing then smirks. Turning, she motions to the boys and walks to the stairs. "Let's go. We have to move." All of them nod. Once leaping over the railing next to the stairs and on a lower level, Spider speaks up with a smile on his face. "Thank you mother. Thanks guys." Tarya's ears twitch and she crouches and swivels to look behind her.

A man in an Avatar is approaching and instantly sees the group of them standing them. Tarya's eyes widen as the Avatar man pulls his gun up, aiming toward their group. "Go!" Tarya rushes to the boys, pushing them to cover, and swinging the gun that she placed on her back to her front. Another Avatar joins and bullets begin to fire in their direction. "Go! Go! Go!" Spider rushes everyone, hoping that they can get covered quickly. They find a corner that they can hide behind and Tarya stands toward the edge. She glances around the corner, holds up the gun and begins shooting toward the avatar's. "Go! Into the water!" Tarya shouts to the boys as she keeps shooting. Lo'ak and Spider quickly jump into the water in the middle of the flying ship, probably a docking station for their underwater ships.

Neteyam stand firm next to his mother, waiting for her to run as well. "Go Netty!" Tarya glances at her eldest son. He shakes his head. "Not without you mother." Tarya curses under her breath, grabs his arm with one hand, throws the gun down then runs to the water, dragging Neteyam along with her and they both jump over the railing, into the blue waters below.

A second passes as they hit the water, and suddenly, a pain hits Tarya like she never felt before. It felt like she was having her heart ripped from her chest. She glances at Neteyam and sees he is grabbing at his chest, swimming slowly under the water. Tarya's eyes widen considerably and quickly swims over to him, grabbing his arm that is not holding his chest and begins to swim to where Lo'ak and Spider did. Once breaching the surface, Tarya notices Tsireya on her Ilu. "Neteyam was shot!" Tarya announces and Lo'ak and Spider instantly stop celebrating.

Spider and Lo'ak swim over to help their mother and Tarya makes a few clicking noises, and within seconds, Utey is swimming up underneath her. She makes Tsaheylu with him and both her sons help Neteyam up on Utey as he breeches the surface. Tarya hops up on Utey as well, settling behind Netty, then begins to press her hand overtop his hand that is holding his wound. Tarya looks to Spider. "Get on behind me and hang on. Lo'ak, get on with Tsireya and follow me." Everyone nods and does as they were told quickly.

Utey, knowing immediately once Tsaheylu was connected, hurried to a safe spot. Tsireya informed Lo'ak that they had Kiri, Tuk, and Emri but Lo'ak told her that they couldn't go back right now.

Getting towards some rocks, Tarya notices her mate up on one of the rocks, running toward them. "Ma Jake!" She calls out to him. Spider, Lo'ak and Tsireya helped get Neteyam off of Utey and towards the rocks where Jake helped them pull him up. Tarya disconnected from Utey but he stayed close when she jumped off him and onto the rocks. They all lift Neteyam up as he begins coughing a lot, worrying Tarya even more. She could feel it, him slipping away.
