A sudden awareness hits you. The darkness is thick, almost palpable. Your senses are sluggish, your mind hazy. Slowly, you become aware of your body - or rather, the body you find yourself in. Your limbs are bound, wrists tied behind your back, and your ankles are wrapped in rope. You feel a rough surface beneath you-wooden planks. The smell of mildew and stale air floods your nostrils.
You try to move, but your body resists, too stiff and weak. Panic starts to rise in your chest. What's going on? You can't remember. All you know is that something is very, very wrong.
A creaking sound cuts through the silence. Footsteps. They're coming closer.
Your heart races as a figure steps into view. A woman, her face partially obscured by the shadows. She looks down at you with an unsettling smile, her eyes gleaming with something you can't quite name-lust? Obsession? It's hard to tell, but whatever it is, it sends a shiver down your spine.
Slightly emerging from the darkness you see her a bit more clearly. She had long, flowing blonde hair that framed her face in soft waves, often tied back or tucked behind her ears, giving her an innocent and approachable look. Her eyes were a bright, striking blue, large and expressive, though they conveyed an unsettling intensity when taken a look at.
She kneels beside you, her voice sickly sweet. "You're awake, finally. I've been waiting for you to open those pretty little eyes."
The room is cold, damp, and unfamiliar, but somehow her voice feels even colder.
System Notification:
Location: Unknown
Chance of imminent death: 90%
Mental State: Confused
Current Hostility Level: High
Progress: 0%...What is this?
When you first saw the "System notification," confusion hit you like a wave. The glowing window floated before your eyes, its cold, clinical text both strange and oddly familiar. You blinked, trying to make sense of it, but the words felt distant, like something you should understand but couldn't grasp.
Yet there was a nagging sense of déjà vu. As if you'd seen this before, in a dream or a memory buried deep in your mind. Despite the strangeness, a small part of you couldn't shake the feeling that this "System" was connected to you, as if it had always been there, waiting to resurface.
You tense your muscles, immediately pulling against the ropes. They bite into your wrists and ankles, but you ignore the pain, driven by pure adrenaline. If you can just get free, maybe you can escape before things get worse. Your breath quickens, and you strain harder, twisting and pulling with all your strength.
The woman's expression shifts, her smile widening into something more unsettling as she watches your futile attempts to escape.
"Ah, you're still full of fight," she murmurs, her voice dripping with amusement. "But struggling will only make it hurt more." Her fingers trace the length of the rope binding your wrists, lightly brushing your skin. "I like it when you fight, though. It makes breaking you so much more satisfying."
