The day had finally arrived. Notti stood at the corner of the block with his crew, the excitement palpable in the air. Today, Ddot and DD were coming home, and Harlem was ready to celebrate. Word had spread fast, and people were already gathering, anticipation buzzing like the city itself.
"Yo, you think they're gonna pull up soon?" Keem asked, glancing down the street.
"Yeah, they should be here any minute," Notti replied, his heart racing. He felt a mix of joy and nerves. Ddot and DD were like brothers to him, and today marked a new chapter for all of them.
As the sound of distant music started to thump through the air, Notti could see a group of familiar faces making their way down the street. The crowd erupted in cheers as Ddot and DD appeared, grinning from ear to ear, their fresh fits looking sharp.
"Yo! We home!" Ddot shouted, arms raised in triumph. The energy was electric.
"Y'all miss us or what?" DD added, his smile infectious.
Notti rushed forward, wrapping his arms around both of them. "You already know! We held it down, but it ain't the same without my brothers!"
As the three of them hugged, the crowd surged forward, ready to celebrate. People were shouting, clapping, and some even tearing up. It was a scene filled with love and camaraderie.
"Y'all got any idea how much we missed you?" Notti said, stepping back to take them in.
"Way too much, bro. We're back now, though. Let's turn up!" Ddot replied, scanning the crowd.
The boys broke away from the embrace, and soon, the crew was rallying around them, catching up and sharing stories. The atmosphere was lit; everyone wanted to hear about Ddot and DD's time away.
"I heard you two were causing havoc in juvie," Edot teased, elbowing DD playfully. "Don't think we forgot about your wild stories!"
"Only the craziest ones," DD smirked, glancing at Ddot. "We kept it real, though. You know how it is."
As the welcome party continued, the crowd began to gather around a makeshift stage in the park. Notti caught sight of Aliyah walking over, looking absolutely stunning. She was wearing a fitted dress that hugged her figure perfectly, her hair flowing effortlessly.
"Yo, Aliyah!" Notti called out, waving her over. She approached with a bright smile, and Notti felt his heart race.
"Hey, Notti!" she beamed, glancing around at the lively scene.
"Perfect timing. I want you to meet the boys," he said, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves.
"Ddot! DD! This is my girl, Aliyah," Notti introduced, trying to keep his voice steady.
The moment hung in the air for a beat longer than Notti expected. "Nice to meet you," Aliyah said, extending her hand, a bit awkwardly.
"Yo, what's good, shorty?" Ddot replied, giving her a friendly smile as he shook her hand. "Notti's been talking about you non-stop while we were locked up."
Notti's face flushed. "Aight, chill. You know I just wanted y'all to know who keeps me grounded out here."
Aliyah laughed lightly, but Notti could tell she felt the weight of the moment. "Yeah, well, I'm just glad to have you guys back," she said, trying to keep the vibe light.
"Word. We appreciate you holding it down for him," DD added, shooting Notti a knowing look. Notti felt the heat rise in his cheeks, wishing the ground would swallow him whole.
The crowd erupted into cheers, and Aliyah glanced around, her excitement bubbling back to the surface. "This is amazing! Everyone's so hyped!"
"Yup, all for you guys!" Notti said, trying to steer the conversation back to the welcome. "You have no idea how much we've missed you."
