It was the next morning, and the weight of the world seemed to sit heavy on your shoulders. Feeling glum, you decided to try and brighten your spirits with something familiar: cereal. You shuffled into the kitchen, the floor cold against your feet as you opened the cupboard, hoping to find something edible.

After a bit of rummaging, you settled on a box that was probably from the '90s, the cereal itself looking a little stale but still better than nothing. You poured some into a bowl, the clinking sound of the old box echoing in the quiet kitchen.

As you munched on the oddly textured cereal, you absentmindedly scrolled through your phone, your mind wandering as you tapped through social media. Nothing much caught your attention, just the usual mix of memes, news, and posts from friends you hadn't seen in ages. You sighed, a little bored, feeling like you were living in a time capsule.

Deciding that a soundtrack might help, you put on some music. The soft notes of "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol filled the air, creating a mellow atmosphere around you. The soothing melody wrapped around you like a comforting blanket, and you found yourself getting lost in the lyrics, letting them wash over you.

You took another bite of the cereal, your thoughts drifting. The world outside felt distant, the noise of the city muted by the walls of the rundown house you shared with Wade and Blind Al. You found solace in the familiar, in the rhythm of the song, letting it carry you away from the chaos of the previous day.

As the song played on, you glanced toward the bedroom where Wade was still sleeping, his usual chaos replaced by a peaceful stillness. You couldn't help but smile a little, the thought of him always managing to lighten your mood, even when you weren't together.

The chorus hit, and you closed your eyes for a moment, imagining a world where things were simpler, where you could just lay in the grass and chase clouds without a care in the world. It felt nice, even if just for a moment.

But as the song came to an end, reality crept back in. You sighed again, wondering how you could take back control, how to not let the weight of everything crush you.

With a determined shake of your head, you finished your cereal, rinsed the bowl, and decided that maybe it was time to wake Wade. Perhaps he'd have some ridiculous plan or idea that could get you both out of this funk. After all, if there was anyone who could turn a gloomy morning into a chaotic adventure, it was Wade.

You walked to the bedroom door, pushing it open slightly, peeking inside. "Hey, Deadpool," you called softly, unable to hide the hint of a smile. "Time to rise and shine! The world needs your special brand of chaos!"

There was a slight rustling, and you could see his figure shifting under the blankets, the sunlight streaming through the window catching the scars on his exposed skin. "Five more minutes, sweetheart!" he mumbled, his voice muffled and groggy.

"Come on! No more sleeping beauty act! We need to seize the day," you teased, leaning against the doorframe.

"Seize the day? Sounds like work. And I'm not really feeling the whole 'working' thing right now," he groaned, tossing a pillow over his face.

You chuckled, feeling a little lighter. "Okay, but I'll be making pancakes if you don't get up. And you know how I feel about pancakes—"

That seemed to do the trick. He shot up, eyes wide. "Did you say pancakes?" "Yep! The only thing standing in your way is your laziness," you shot back, crossing your arms and trying to keep a straight face.
