Vegas hid behind the wall, his eyes scanning for an escape route. He spotted an emergency door and moved silently towards it. Just as he reached the door, Bruno noticed him. Vegas bolted through the door and found himself on a deserted street. He quickly called Porsche to pick him up. However, Bruno and his men were hot on his trail, firing gunshots as they chased him. Vegas, unarmed, sprinted away, his heart pounding.

Suddenly, the road came to an abrupt end. Bruno smirked, "Now, how will you escape from me?" As Bruno advanced, gunfire erupted. Bruno's men fell one by one. The shooters were Porsche and Kinn. Only Bruno remained standing. Vegas smirked and grabbed Bruno by the neck. Kinn fired multiple bullets into Bruno's heart, ending his life. One of Bruno's men survived and reported everything to Karan.

Karan was furious upon hearing about Bruno's death. Bruno was like a brother to him, and they were also lovers. Enraged, Karan vowed to kill Vegas, marking him as his enemy. Meanwhile, Vegas, covered in bruises and bleeding, thanked Porsche and Kinn. Kinn, however, wore a stern expression.

**Author's POV:** Kinn despised Vegas because he had killed Kinn's father. The hatred ran so deep that Kinn couldn't even bear to look at Vegas. So why did he come to Vegas's aid?

As the night wore on, the tension in the safe house grew. Kinn's cryptic words hung in the air, leaving Vegas and Porsche with more questions than answers. They knew that whatever was coming next, it would be a battle unlike any they had faced before.

Vegas couldn't face Pete with all his bruises and bleeding wounds. Pete had no idea about Vegas's true line of work; he believed Vegas was just a businessman. The sight of Vegas in such a state would raise too many questions. Vegas knew he had to clean up and cover his injuries before meeting Pete. He couldn't risk exposing the dangerous life he led. As he looked at his reflection, he wondered how much longer he could keep up the facade. The duality of his existence was taking its toll, but for now, he had to maintain the illusion.
