Ben was in his office, as the clock rang its tones. He was answering a few letters from distant kings and queens of neighboring kingdoms. He then pressed a button on his desk that called to his secretary, "Debra." He said, "Yes, your majesty." The voice replied through the intercom, "Can you ask Lumière to call me regarding Cotillion?" He asked, "Yes sir." She replied, "Thank you." said Ben. Then, there was a knock at the door. Evie slightly pushed open the door, "Ben?" She said, looking worried. He looked up and saw her. "Evie? Come on in." He stood up, smiling a bit. But Evie wasn't smiling, she had a very nervous expression on her face. She closed the door behind her and turned to face Ben, "Mal's gone back to the Isle." His smile soon changed into a gaping expression of shock. Evie sighed and slowly came forward, she handed Ben a note that was written by Mal, and she handed him the ring that Ben had given her.
"Ben..." he took it and observed it carefully, before reading through her letter, muttering the words she had written to himself, "I am so sorry..." he folded the note in his hand and gazed at Evie, before shaking the note in his hand.
"This is my fault. This is my fault. I blew it." He softly exhaled, "She'd been under so much pressure lately and instead of being understanding, I just went all beast on her." Evie looked down sadly, before Ben rose up, "I have to go there and apologize. I have to go there and beg her to come back." He said, but Evie shook her head, "Ben, you'll never find her. You need to know the Isle and how it works and..." he stared out of the window, and that's when Evie realized, "You have to take me with you."
"Yes, uh...Are you sure?" He asked, "Yeah." She nodded, as she turned her head to the side, ready to tear up, "She's my best friend." Evie said, before turning around, thinking about Jack, Jay and Carlos, "And we'll bring the boys, too, because there's safety in numbers and none of us is really too popular over there right now." Ben understood, "Thank you." he replied gratefully, but Evie turned around again to speak to him, "But let's get two things straight," she affirmed, "You have to promise me that I won't get stuck there again." She said, "I promise." Ben agreed, "And there's no way you're going looking like that." She said with a straight face, referring to how finely dressed Ben was.
