"If you find someone you love in your life, then hang on to that love."
Princess Diana
As the elevator door slid open, Detective Maggie Sawyer squared her shoulders and exited the small metal box.

Jessica Huang looked up from her paperwork. "Good afternoon, Detective Sawyer. Ms. Luther will be with you shortly." She clicked a button on her phone, "Lena, Detective Magarita Sawyer is here."

"I'll be a few more minutes, Jess, ask her if minds waiting." Lena responded sweetly through the intercom.

"It'll be a few minutes, Detective, you can take a seat by the window." Jess pointed.

Maggie checked her watch after ten minutes, then again at fifteen and finally, she started to stand when Lena's door swung. "Detective Sawyer, sorry for the delay, I had a phone call and didn't expect it to go over."

"Thank you Le...Ms. Luthor." Maggie sighed. "I won't keep you long, just a piece of tech from a crime scene."

"Come in, Detective." Lena turned on her heel and entered her office.

Instead of the couches in the center of the room, Lena crossed her office and took a seat at her desk, effectively putting up a wall between herself and her guest. "So, what is it?"

"Okay, Ms. Luthor, I get it." Maggie didn't bother to sit down or pull out the small weapon that she had found earlier that same day at a crime scene. "You are pissed at me because of Alex."

"Yes, I most certainly am. Alex is a wreck, and I assume Kara and I have you to thank for it, since we haven't seen you and Alex wont talk to us about whatever ever happened, or your part in it." She looked down her nose at Maggie, "So what do you want my opinion on?"

"Is she okay?" Maggie collapsed into the seat opposite of Lena, her head in her hands. "She's not drinking? How bad is she? Lena, believe me, I—I didn't want it to end that way, I..." Maggie stiffened as Lena's chair rolled back. "Please tell me, she's not doing anything stupid because of me?"

"Well, this is not the response I expected." Lena's words were gentle as she came around the desk and squatted down beside the distressed detective. "So, Maggie, you want to tell me what happened and why?"

Maggie nodded and started rehashing the night of her and Alex's breakup.

Three days later, at Kara's insistence Alex finally agreed to leave the loft and spend the evening on the town. Lena suggested dinner and maybe a few of Alex's favorite dives. The redhead shrugged and slid on her leather jacket and followed them downstairs, unaware she was walking into the trap that Lena and Kara had set.

Dinner had been Alex's favorite restaurant where the DEO operative was oblivious to the waitress and hostess who had been flirting non-stop with her.

"Alex," Kara bit her lip and placed her hand on top of her sister's splayed fingers. "You know you always tell me to talk about what's on my mind?"

"The same thing that has been on my mind for the last three months, Kara!" Alex snapped. She pulled her hand away, dropped her head and mumbled, "Sorry."

Kara pulled her hand back and excused herself, heading towards the restroom.

"Alex?" Lena offered.

"Sorry, Lena. I shouldn't be taking it out on you two. I know I've been a bitch to live with." Alex leaned back and stared at the ceiling. "I want to be so...so damn mad at her."

"Maggie?" Lena asked, with a smirk that Alex couldn't see.

"Yeah, her." Alex growled.

"If it helps any at all, she's pretty torn up about whatever happened between the two of you also. She's taking all the blame on herself." Lena offered calmly. "I saw her three days ago, she's worried about you."
