He imitated an airplane sound as he ran with the orange and yellow plane on his hand. A flying disk was thrown and a man caught it before throwing it back.

"How about some burgers with some ketchup, hon?", Mike's dad asked.

Mike's mom laughed. "Everything's better swimming in ketchup", she said. "Right, Mike? Whoop" She accidentally dropped a bottle of soda, spilling over the edge of the table. "I'm gonna go grab a towel. Go watch your brother, ok?"

"Ok", Mike answered. He looked at his brother. "Garrett"

Garrett kept running with the plane. Mike got up from the picnic table. He watched as the yellow flying disk flew across the trees and landed on the ground. Mike went to get the flying this.

A car's engine started. Mike looked for the sound. A brown car had started.

"Garrett?", Mike asked as he slowly walked to the car, his walk turning into a run as his heart beat rapidly. He panted as he tried to reach the car. Mike stopped on his tracks. Garrett sat on the back seat of the car, still holding the plane, looking back at Mike. "Garrett! Garrett!"

The shouting echoes and fades.

Mike slowly opened his eyes. He reached over and pressed a button on the alarm clock. The tape rewinded. He rubbed one of his eyes before staring at the image of Nebraska. Another day for Mike.

Mike watched Abby, who was sitting alone while the other children played happily. Abby kept on with her coloring, not bothered at all. Mike lowered his gaze.

"Just look at my new nephew", Jane said. "It's not even 10:00 and h-he can barely keep his eyes open. And this degenerate is who they entrust with the well-being of a mentally ill child"

"Watch your tongue, Jane", Autumn mumbled angrily.

"Jane, like I've said before, Abby is no mentally ill", Lillian said.

"Oh, right. Perfectly normal to sit around drawing pictures all day and-and talking to magical creatures who do not exist", Jane said. Mike said nothing but Autumn tightened her fists. Mike looked at her and shook his head slightly.

"Listen, I think we all just need to calm-",  Lillian was cut off.

"Don't tell me to calm down. You're the doctor and you're making me feel like I'm the crazy one?", Jane said, gesturing at herself. "And after...after what he did to that poor man..." She pursed her lips and shook her head, closed her eyes and cried. She then sobbed. Mike just looked at her and glanced at Lillian. Autumn scoffed softly. Lillian looked back at Mike then looked away. Jane blew her nose into a tissue. "I have really tried to play nice. I have. But I have to think about Abby now. Enough is enough. Doug?"

Doug was tensed, just holding his brown leather suitcase on his lap.

"Doug"

Doug gasped and flinched. "Oh", was all he said. He took out a packer from his suitcase and handed it to Mike.

"In your heart, you know that this is the right thing to do", Jane said. "I hope that you will sign"

"I hope that you will sign"
