Seokjin's Pov:

*****

"Did you ever find out who sent you the flowers?"

I lightly shook my head, feeling the warmth of the freshly brewed coffee as I lifted the mug to my lips. After taking a sip, I looked at Jimin, who stood beside me in the office breakroom.

"Nope. I haven't heard anything and don't think I want to. I am sure whoever sent them just wanted to be annoying and probably wanted to intimidate me with fear, especially by showing they knew where I lived. Lucky them, I guess; I won't waste my time worrying about it."

After confirming it was not my friends or anyone I knew who had sent the flowers and whatever was in that box, I decided I wouldn't allow it to drive me crazy. I had even contacted the delivery service, and they couldn't share any information with me even after I name-dropped my parents. It wasn't worth losing sleep over at this point.

"Maybe you should tell Namjoon about it; I am sure he could figure it out."

"Not happening. I am more than capable of taking care of myself," I said firmly. With that, I redirected our conversation, unwilling to dwell on the unsettling presence of a stranger who had taken a sudden interest in being a creep in my life.

"What is your day looking like? I have a meeting with a new client who, it seems, was quite eager and distressed to find a home. I was thinking we could grab lunch together after he leaves, my treat." I told Jimin, and I watched as he smiled, just as I knew he would at the mention of lunch.

"I know you can, and okay, I won't bring it up again. Lunch sounds like a great idea. Also, let me know if you need my help with the new client. I always hate it when they pop up out of nowhere like that and expect us to provide top-notch service with no time to prepare.

Today seems like the day for new clients with urgent needs, as I've also got a meeting with one later today. Interestingly, their name seems really familiar to Hoseok's boss's name, but I'm probably wrong," Jimin said as he glimpsed down at the tablet he was holding, his preferred device over any computer. I'll never quite understand it but to each their own.

I raised my eyebrow in curiosity as I focused on Jimin. "Well, that would certainly be unusual, but stranger things have happened. Keep me updated if it turns out to be him, and if he happens to be an Alpha, make sure you have one of the assistants with you," I emphasized.

I am sure he wouldn't meet with an Alpha alone; he was too smart for that. Still, I felt compelled to remind him. While this is a business environment where closed-door discussions with visiting Alphas are allowed, we must tread carefully as we can never predict an Alpha's true intentions.

Trust is a luxury we can't afford, especially for us, who often face disdain for the freedom we have. Our ownership of a company only fueled their anger. We've received numerous threatening letters warning us of the horrific actions they would take if the law were ever lifted. The only reason they haven't escalated beyond threats is their awareness of our family connections.

"Oh, you know I will."

Upon hearing his response, I smiled and told him we would meet later. Leaving him, I walked back to my office, sipped the last of my coffee, and patiently awaited the arrival of my new client. It wasn't long before I heard a polite knock at the door. I called out for the person to come in. As the door creaked open, my assistant peeked her head in and stepped aside to usher the client into the room.
