chapter 3

Lauren's pov
The next morning, I got dressed in a simple undress and threw on my flip-flops and made my way down to the docks as I walked down to where Riley said her boat was I spot the woman in some spungebob board shorts and a long sleeve rip curl shirt and next to her laid a golden  Labrador retiever   " you know you are the biggest dork I know right what are those " I point to her shorts "she smiles and looks down at her shorts " whats wrong with my shorts "I look up at her face and notice the same scar from last night only this time more of  the angry red flesh is visible it travels down her neck and under the collar of her shirt , shake my head and say " permission to come aboard captain " she breaks out in a grin and holds out her hand and pull me up on the boat effortlessly " permission granted " she says and looks down at me before stepping back I blink a few times and take my sunglasses off my face and put it on top of my head and bend down to pet the pup " whats this good boys name" I ask as I pet the pup " that is Sam or Sammy if you're friends  "she bends down petting Sammy " he has been my first mate for about 3 years now" I smile at her  " come on I'll show you around "she says getting up and going down below the cabin was nice, it had a small kitchen and " living area " and  a small bathroom and behind a closed door is a small bedroom with a bed big enough to just fit 2 people , the boat was nice nicer then her old one the wood was stained a light colour and the bedding and with everything fabric in a navy blue  " more spacious then i though" I say as we make our way back up to the deck again " yeah definitely makes the old one look like a dump .. hey lo, did  you wanna go diving with me today? " I nod." Yeah, sure " I say  and she smiles. " Great cuase there's this little spot not too far off the coast, and I am pretty sure mahi mahi are around there and I'd be pretty stoked if I got to spear on for dinner " I laugh " you do remember the things I thought you about sailing right? " she teases " I nod

We get to the spot that ri was talking about maybe an hour later, and she  anchers the boat and goes below deck just as I pull my sun dress off she comes back wearing a blue yongbloods diving top and some gloves with her speargun a bright orange floatie and two pairs of long finned flippers  and of course the snorkels and masks and some sunscreen " come here beautiful " she says as she rubs some sunscreen on my face " thanks now my hands aren't covered in sunscreen "I laugh at her at grab the bottle and Apply some to the rest of me as she blows up the float " so I think we get dinner first and we put it in the ice box and then we can play around if you want " I nod

As we swim around the float ri spot the fish she's been after and dives down to spear it , she places a perfect shot through its he'd and swims to grab it and stabs it through the head before bringing it up to the surface where I am " fuck yeah" she yells and I laugh as we take the fish back to the boat where Sammy tipping taps , ri places the fish in the ice box and grabs a ball and throws it to where I am in the water Sammy looks at her " release " she says and he runs and jumps in he swims around with the ball and Ri gets back in the water and swims to me and Sam swims to the swimming platform and get out and lays down chewing on his ball contently " Hey " she says as she reaches me" Hey Ri "

We swam around for a good hour or two before we made our way back to the boat , Riley made me shower the salt water off on the dock and I frowned as she didn't " what about you "she waves me off "I'll shower once we get back to the docks " my frown deepens " Ri take a shower " she runs her hand through her hair " I can't! ... I don't want you to see them lo "she snaps a little and immediately  apologises " see what ri " I as gently placing a hand on her chest " she look down at me with those damn blue eyes and I feel my heart skip a beat " the scars lo I,..I don't want you to see my scars " she says pained and I wrap my arms around her waist and hug her , she wraps her arms around my neck and rests head onto of mine " okay " I whisper

It's currently dark out as I wait for Riley on her boat while she takes ashower in the public bathrooms at the dock ,Sammy is laying next to me as I look up at the stars "you know Sammy I don't think she's coming back " I smile as I pet him " flip flops can be heard comming down the door and I hear her say "like I'd leave Sammy " she teases as she gets on the boat and hangs her wetsuit to and shorts on some line and pins it down she's wearing another white long sleeve shirt and some billabong boards her black hair still wet " up for some dinner now lo "

As we eat under the stars I look at her and can't really describe how beautiful she looks under the moon and stars " what" she says tilting her head to the side like puppy" Nothing" I reply quickly and look down as my phone lights up with a message

From My love : hey where are you I thought you said you'd be home tonight

To my love : yeah sorry bby just had dinner with a friend leaving now

I got to go Ri " I say and get up she quickly gets up and runs her hand through her hair oh yeah its pretty late hey thanks for spending the day with me by the way lo " she rushes out "Shut up abd hug me ya goof "I laugh and she pulls me into a hug god she smells good like the ocean , cucumber  and vanilla " don't be a stranger lo "she says as she helps me off the boat "as long as you don't  I reply
