"Where... is this? I... am..."

The baby slowly opened his eyes, deep violet pupils curiously surveying this strange new world. Surrounding him was a transparent glass enclosure reflecting pale lights, with occasional shadows flitting about. Upon closer inspection, they turned out to be strange instruments, including cameras, test tubes, and various electrical wires.

Though it was the first time he had seen these objects, he instinctively felt he could name these unfamiliar items.

This seemed to be a laboratory, and I seemed to be in the observation chamber of this laboratory.

What exactly is this place...

The beautiful violet eyes rolled slowly back and forth, collecting all the information and intelligence about this new world.

"Lady Marianne, the young prince has awakened!"

At that moment, outside the observation chamber, in the control center of the main laboratory, researchers who were adjusting data and observing the baby's growth noticed the image captured by the camera. They conveyed the news of the young prince's awakening to his biological mother—Princess Marianne of the Holy Britannian Empire.

"I understand!"

A gentle reply came through the intercom, and just from the voice, one could imagine that the speaker was a noble and beautiful woman.

Soon, the automatic door outside the laboratory opened with a whoosh, and a stately and stunning woman with an imposing aura gracefully stepped inside; it was Princess Marianne, who had recently given birth.

After the baby was named Lelouch vi Britannia by Emperor Charles zi Britannia, Marianne, disregarding the fatigue from childbirth, had small Lelouch transferred to the underground GEASS First Laboratory, ordering the researchers to begin testing Lelouch's adaptability to GEASS and various other qualifications.

Having not rested at all, she remained in an adjacent room while Lelouch was being examined by the researchers. Before she conceived Lelouch, she had been experimenting with various methods to enhance her unborn child's adaptability to GEASS and capabilities, so she had long prepared a resting room for herself.

"How are the results? What are Lelouch's test results?"

Although he was her biological son, he was also the first experimental subject she had deliberately created at great cost and effort. Marianne would not allow any accidents to befall Lelouch.

At least, not until she had the data on his physical potential.

Mar have much time to spare for childbirth; the modern empire was still in its expansion phase, and the sixth knight—the shining Marianne—was needed everywhere to combat enemies, serving as the sharp sword in the hand of Emperor Charles zi Britannia.

"From the current situation, all the data looks very good, but the final result will depend on the young prince's brain activity and the potential of his mental power!"

A researcher stared intently at the constantly changing data on the computer, his hands flying over the keyboard as he analyzed the physical condition of the small prince observed through the instruments, comparing the results with other recorded data on the Royal Family.

Another female researcher looked at the small prince in the observation room with a bit of sympathy and softly suggested, "Lady Marianne, should we feed the young prince some food?"

Since being named, he had been under observation and testing by various instruments for so long. For a newborn baby who had recently lost the nourishment provided by the mother, he must be getting hungry.
