"aww, i think that's the nicest thing a guy's done for you in a long time"

"I think I just twisted my ankle" The cheery blonde pouted as she had one arm slung over the shoulder of one of her best friends, Tara Heyes. Her dark green dress swayed beyond her legs as her brown heeled boots clacked on the pavement. Her usually bright eyes were lidded with the haze of alcohol's effects as she stumbled lazily, nearly tearing her dark haired friend down with her. On her other side, was her other best friend, (Y/n) (L/n).

(Y/n) walked alongside them with her short and tight fitting black dress clinging to her as her black heels clacked on the ground as well. She'd been convinced by their blonde friend to go as a cat, a sexy one apparently. Her feet ached with the obvious sign of blisters and her face makeup was beginning to melt onto her face due to the sweaty party they just left combined with walking for about 15 minutes now.

"Dawn, really?" Tara scoffed as she lurched down to grasp at her friend's arm, yanking her as upright as possible. She sent a grateful glance over to the (h/c) haired woman as she rushed to help hold the blonde up too. "Thanks a lot, by the way" She added with a scowl appearing on her lips now.

Dawn cooed drunkenly. "For what?" Her eyes were hazy but she felt on top of the world at the moment.

(Y/n) shook her head fondly. "How much did you drink? I thought you said you'd only be taking a shot or two" She spoke up for the first time the entire walk, her head spinning from the humidity.

Tara scoffed. "You promised you weren't gonna get shitfaced tonight" She pressed as her own high heeled boots clacked onto the sidewalk. She had decided to go as some sort of skeleton, not feeling like dressing up much this year. She really just wanted to go home now and maybe text her sister goodnight before completely passing out on her soft bed.

Dawn shook her head innocently. "Guys kept buying me drinks, I can't help it if people find me interesting" She smiled brightly as she took out her cellphone, stopping their walk abruptly.

"Yeah. Definitely your mind that they were after" Tara replied sarcastically. "You dragged poor (Y/n) along when you decided that a rough tough biker gang was your type. Do you ever think about other people, Dawn? Or just yourself?" She said.

(Y/n) practically cringed at the remembrance of the troublesome bikers dressed in leather beckoning them to their table. Tara had been getting another drink and so Dawn took it upon herself to drag her over to the table of men. The blonde seemed to be having the time of her life but she was uncomfortable as she was crowed between some of them, one who really needed to learn personal space because he kept feeling her legs up, trying to get underneath her dress.

The blonde never replied because she was busy sending her fingers flying across the screen as she texted rapidly. Her body wasn't able to stay still due to all the booze she'd crammed into it, making her sway lightly on her feet. (Y/n) kept a hand steady on her arm just in case she fell over.

"Who are you texting?" Tara demanded, crossing her arms over her chest in annoyance.

"None of your business" Dawn cooed in reply, smiling and giggling drunkenly, her body leaning into the (h/c) woman's on accident.

"You gave that asshole your number, didn't you?" Tara scoffed as she eyed her friend in disbelief at her very stupid actions. She felt like she always had to babysit the wild blonde girl but at least she had the more responsible (Y/n) to help her manage and she wasn't fully alone. She loved the blonde dearly but sometimes she did not think.

"Oh my god, you're so jealous!" Dawn laughed out loud. "Come on, even (Y/n) let loose tonight! And you know, you're drunk too" She defended.

Tara shook her head. "That kid was talking to like five other girls" She laughed in disbelief.

"Oh, stop being such a bitch. Just get in the car" Dawn replied as she turned to walk towards her idle car. She stumbled again on her feet, showing that she really was not in a state to drive.

"Should you really be driving like this?" (Y/n) asked as she watched her friend's drunken movements. She barely paid much attention when the two girls began to fight over who got the keys because as her eyes drifted over to a spot away from their car.

Standing beside a building's wall was a tall man wearing a black and white clown costume complete with large clownish black shoes. A small black hat was perched atop his ghostly white makeup covered face and his eyes were covered with blackened paint along with his lips and a little speck on his nose. The only skin that she could see that showed he was a normal human underneath was the tips of his fingers that poked out from the top of his white fingerless gloves.

Her (e/c) eyes met with the darkened ones of the clown's, not fully able to see what color his were. She felt a horrible sensation tingling down her spine, something so terribly off. Alarm sounds practically blared inside of her head at the sight.

"(Y/n)? (Y/n)? What are you looking at..." Tara suddenly called out but she trailed off when she looked over and also set her sights onto the creepy clown man. He was staring back without blinking, still as a statue. "The fuck...? D, D!" She hissed towards her blonde friend.

"What?" Dawn asked with a haze in her tone.

"Look." Tara said lowly, gesturing subtly to the strange man.

Dawn looked up and her eyes landed onto the man as well, her lips turning up into an amused smile. "Holy shit..." She laughed softly. "Hey, (Y/n). I think he's looking at you, girl" She cooed.

(Y/n) couldn't physically move or even bring herself to reply because the sight was causing her to nearly panic. His eyes were so darkened and the slight twitch of his fingers by his side could only mean that he intended to harm them. She doubted that this was just some Halloween prank.

"Yeah, that's not funny" Tara scolded. "I'm about to scream" She shivered.

Dawn's hand suddenly lifted as she batted her eyelashes teasingly. "Hey, handsome!" She purred, ignoring her friend's request to stop her behavior. "My friend here wants your number! Come buy us dinner!" She gestured over to the frozen form of (Y/n).

(Y/n) glared. "Stop, Dawn" She hissed in fear. "I'm sorry, mister! She's drunk!" She called out to the clown in hopes that he'd just really be a prankster that would stop upon hearing these words.

The man's eyes wouldn't leave her face for a second before his lips stretched into a large playful grin. He lifted a hand and waved daintily in her direction before his hands came up to mimic a heart shape.

Dawn immediately laughed and cooed before Tara smacked her arm in annoyance. (Y/n) averted her gaze but when she looked up again, there was no sign of the man anymore.

She turned and followed the girls as they decided on getting pizza to try and sober up.

The clown wouldn't leave her mind though.
