2012
The next morning after Rain arrived, she walked out of her room, seeing both Dean and Sam sitting at a table on their laptops. Dean looked up at Rain.
"Hey, we were about to head out on a hunt, so get ready," Dean said, nodding his head at her.
"What happened to... good morning? How's your day?" Rain asked jokingly as she went to get her stuff together. Dean looked over at Sam, who had an odd look on his face.
"What?" Dean asked, closing his laptop and getting up.
"We figured out you have a daughter, and your first instinct is... 'let's take her on a hunt'?" Sam asked, watching Dean as he stood.
"I mean... yeah, she's a hunter, ain't she? And after the hunt, blood test," Dean said, smiling broadly as he walked off to his room to get his things together. Sam just sat there, throwing his hands up.
"Why do I try..." he mumbled to himself, getting up and cleaning up Dean's mess while waiting for them to finish getting ready.
Later, Sam and Dean entered a crime scene, with police tape surrounding a house as cops were busy. Dean and Sam showed their badges and slipped past the police tape, gesturing for Rain to follow. She quickly caught up with them. As they entered, Dean saw a familiar face and instantly smiled, waving.
"Alaric!" he shouted. A male with short brown hair in professional attire turned to Dean, glaring as he walked over.
"Alaric Easton. How are you, man?" Dean smiled teasingly.
"Dean Winchester, what fake name are you going by today?" Alaric said, unamused. Rain looked at Sam, who was just as confused, then turned to Alaric.
"You two know each other?" Rain asked, crossing her arms. Alaric looked over at her, confused about why there was a kid here.
