A/n pov:

Choi Yeonjun, sat in his cabin working on the previous mission file.

His life has always challenged him with new situations.

And on top of that he became a secret agent. Who could lose his life any moment if he get caught.

Adventures

But he was always 2 steps ahead

Always

He decided to take a break and sat in silence massaging his temples thinking about Mr. Lee sudden behaviour change towards him.

Days ago, Yeonjun had worked on his mission and after it's completion, Mr. Lee invited him to attend the ceremony for his success.

But being an agent, Yeonjun avoided these kind of celebration ceremonies and parties.

He refused to attend that ceremony and Mr. Lee had been quiet impolite with him since then.

Although he was well known by the industry but going around and meeting people would make his identity and personal information spread across the state.

His only concern was his brothers.
They are innocent and he can't let anyone harm them in any way.

He was pretty sure that not more than 3-4 people in the industry would be aware that who is his father.

And it is not like he wanted everyone to know about this.

Suddenly his thoughts were interrupted by a call.

"Hello, Choi Yeonjun speaking.",
Yeonjun said with a low yet Bold tone.

"Yeonjun sir, calling from Hwang corporation.
Sir wants to meet you urgently."

"Tell him I will be there tomorrow,
Sharp at 7 pm"

"Sure sir", The boy on the other side said and ended the call.

"I am so fucking frustrated",
Yeonjun shouted which echoed across the room.

He let his face rest on his hand for sometime.

Time skip:

Yeonjun stepped into the dimly lit room, his eyes scanning the space before focusing on the familiar figure.

"Ah, Yeonjun," the mafia representative said, his voice low and gravelly.
"Please have a seat"

Yeonjun sat down while he place his one leg over the other.

The man judged his posture and said,
"We have a job for you."

Yeonjun raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What's the mission?"

"We need you to retrieve a sensitive file from the Choi mafia group's headquarters," the representative explained, handing Yeonjun a folder containing the details.

Yeonjun's gaze flicked through the documents before looking up.

"Sound interesting!
My rules still apply."

The representative nodded.
"As always, Yeonjun. We're aware of your... peculiarities."

"Here is your cheque", The man kept it in front of Yeonjun.

It was a huge amount to be honest.

Yeonjun's expression remained neutral.
"Good. To recap: I work alone. No backup, no partners.

I attempt the mission twice, at most.
If I fail within the same day, the payment is refunded in full."

The representative nodded again. "Yes, yes. We understand. And, of course, your success record remains unblemished."

Yeonjun's eyes narrowed slightly.
"I intend to keep it that way."

With a curt nod, Yeonjun took the folder and turned to leave.

"Yeonjun," the representative called out.

Yeonjun paused, glancing back.

"Don't underestimate Choi Mafia leader. He is dangerous.
He's not one to be trifled with."

Yeonjun's expression remained unreadable, but his mind began racing with strategies and contingency plans.

"I never underestimate anyone," Yeonjun said, before disappearing into the shadows.

Later that day,

Yeonjun stepped into his apartment, dropping his keys onto the counter. The warm glow of the living room lamps enveloped him, a comforting contrast to the mission's looming darkness.

"Hyung's back!" Huening exclaimed, springing from the couch.

Beomgyu looked up from his book, a hint of concern in his eyes. "How was your day, hyung?"

Yeonjun forced a smile, hiding his thoughts. "Just a long meeting. I'm starving. What's for dinner?"

Huening grinned mischievously. "I cooked! Beomgyu hyung helped."

Yeonjun raised an eyebrow. "Oh? What's on the menu?"

Beomgyu chuckled. "Huening's specialty – spaghetti with an... interesting sauce."

Yeonjun laughed, tension easing. "Sounds fascinating."

As they sat down to eat, Yeonjun's phone buzzed – an unknown number. He ignored it, focusing on his brothers.

"Beomgyu, how's college?" Yeonjun asked.

"Going well, hyung," Beomgyu replied. "Just stressing about exams."

Huening jumped in, "And I'm working on a new art project! Want to see?"

Yeonjun smiled, engaged in their conversations, pushing the mission to the back of his mind.

For this fleeting moment, he was just a big brother.

On the other hand,

A/n pov:

The man sat motionless, shrouded in darkness, his eyes fixed on the figure tied before him.
The dimly lit room amplified the sound of his ragged breathing.

Struggle was futile.

The man gaze was sharp and never wavered.

Suddenly, He shifted, his movement fluid.
A glint of metal flashed in the faint light.

He was staring at the trembling figure in front of him who was trying his best to break free .

The knife hurtled toward him, striking the chair between his legs with precision.

A startled gasp escaped the trembling man's lips.

The Man emerged from the shadows, my features illuminated by a small lamp.

He looked majestic.
His sharp jawline and deep piercing gaze was breath taking.

The man tied on looking at the man was in utter shock as their gaze met.

"Ch-Choi Soobin?" he stammered.

His lips curled into a subtle smile.

To be continued.......
