Jaeyun woke up, finding himself pressed against Heeseung's bare chest. As he attempted to move, a sharp pain in his hips made him wince. The sound roused Heeseung, who glanced down with mild concern.

"Anything wrong?"

"My hips hurt," Jaeyun admitted, a slight grimace on his face.

Heeseung nodded, understanding the situation. He got up and prepared a warm bath, more out of a sense of courtesy than deep affection. When it was ready, he helped Jaeyun to the bathroom, supporting him as needed.

As Jaeyun settled into the tub, he looked at Heeseung with a mix of appreciation and mild surprise. "You know, most guys I hook up with just leave while I'm sleeping. This is... different."

Heeseung shrugged, leaning against the doorframe. "Leaving like that seems a bit cold. Besides, I'm not in a rush."

Jaeyun nodded, considering Heeseung for a moment. "Hey, want to keep this casual? Hook up when we're both free? You're pretty irresistible, and the sex was great."

A smirk played on Heeseung's lips. "Sounds good to me. No strings attached?"

"Exactly," Jaeyun agreed.

After the bath, Heeseung made a quick breakfast while Jaeyun sat at the counter. Their conversation was light and easy, focused on surface-level topics and playful banter rather than deep personal revelations.

As Heeseung prepared to leave, Jaeyun jotted down his number on a scrap of paper. "Text me when you're free. This was fun."

Heeseung pocketed the number with a nod. "Will do. Take care of those hips," he added with a wink.

With a casual wave, Heeseung left. Jaeyun closed the door behind him, feeling satisfied with their arrangement. It was simple, uncomplicated, and promised to be enjoyable. No deep feelings, no expectations - just two adults enjoying each other's company when it suited them.

Jaeyun and Heeseung fell into a comfortable routine of texting each other regularly. Their messages were light, often flirtatious, but never delving too deep.

One day, Heeseung brought an injured colleague to the hospital. As the doctors tended to his coworker, Heeseung caught Jaeyun's eye across the busy ER. An unspoken invitation passed between them.

Later that afternoon, after Jaeyun's shift ended, Heeseung arrived at his apartment. They spent some time together, enjoying each other's company.

Afterwards, Jaeyun stretched, wincing slightly. "I'm a bit sore. Let's take a bath."

"Sure," Heeseung agreed easily.

They enjoyed a warm bath and got dressed. Jaeyun grabbed some snacks, and they settled on the couch to watch a drama. As they watched, Heeseung's brow furrowed.

"Isn't that risky behavior according to medical science?" he asked suddenly.

Jaeyun looked confused. "What behavior?"

"Our relationship," Heeseung clarified.

Jaeyun's face fell slightly. "You mean homosexuality? Are you judging me?"

"No!" Heeseung said quickly. "That's not what I meant at all."

Jaeyun was quiet for a moment, then spoke softly. "In my final year of medical school, I had my first boyfriend. My parents kicked me out when they found out. Then he cheated on me with a girl."

Heeseung's expression softened. He gently pulled Jaeyun closer, letting the doctor rest his head on his shoulder. Jaeyun offered Heeseung a snack, which he accepted before placing a gentle kiss on Jaeyun's hand.

Noticing the hint of tears in Jaeyun's eyes, Heeseung asked softly, "Can I kiss you?"

"Hmm?" Jaeyun looked up, puzzled by the request given their usual interactions.

Heeseung leaned in, placing a tender kiss on Jaeyun's lips. It was their first kiss that wasn't part of their physical encounters, and it held a different weight.

As they pulled apart, they looked at each other, a new understanding passing between them. Their arrangement, which had started as something casual, was beginning to evolve into something deeper, more meaningful.

"I'm sorry about what happened to you," Heeseung said quietly. "You didn't deserve that."

Jaeyun nodded, a small smile forming on his lips. "Thank you," he whispered.

They stayed like that, close and comfortable, as they continued watching the drama. Both were acutely aware that something had shifted in their relationship, but neither felt the need to define it just yet. For now, they were content to enjoy this new, deeper connection.

Heeseung woke to find the bed beside him empty. Curious, he followed the inviting aroma of butter wafting from the kitchen. There he found Jaeyun, focused intently on making croffles.

Moving quietly, Heeseung approached and gently pressed a kiss to Jaeyun's neck. Jaeyun jumped, startled. "You scared me!" he exclaimed, his hand flying to his chest.

Heeseung chuckled softly, amused by Jaeyun's reaction. In one smooth motion, he lifted Jaeyun and set him on the kitchen counter. He stayed close, their faces mere inches apart, his eyes locked on Jaeyun's.

For a moment, they simply gazed at each other, the air between them charged with unspoken emotions. Then, Jaeyun leaned forward, pressing a soft kiss to Heeseung's lips.

As they parted, both men smiled, a mix of affection and slight shyness in their expressions. Their relationship had been evolving, moving beyond their initial casual arrangement, and moments like these highlighted the growing intimacy between them.

"Good morning," Jaeyun said softly, his fingers lightly tracing Heeseung's jawline.

"Morning," Heeseung replied, his voice warm. "Those croffles smell amazing."

Jaeyun's eyes lit up. "I thought you might be hungry when you woke up. Want to help me finish making them?"

Heeseung nodded, helping Jaeyun down from the counter. As they worked side by side in the kitchen, stealing glances and sharing small touches, both men felt a sense of contentment. Their bond was deepening, and while neither was quite ready to put a label on it, they were both enjoying the journey.
