Kyle, Amy, and I walk to the office. Amy was talking to Kyle. She had a crush on him since she transferred here. I was here to cheer her on. I was skipping behind them on the stairs. Amy leads the way to the office, still talking to Kyle. As she opens the door.
My mom and the other office lady, Ms. Kimmy, were sitting at their desks, filling out paperwork. I sit down on the chair in front of my mom's desk while Amy and Kyle sit on the small couch next to the office.
"Ali... What did you do this time? Assault a student? Bring a knife to class? Summon a demon to eat your teacher?" My mom asks. Kyle cocks his head to the side when he hears the name "Ali." I hadn't told him yet... I'll tell him later.
"No, nothing fun today. We just absolutely roasted Mrs. Dublé."
Mrs. Kimmy laughs. "Oh, dear. Mary? How do you handle this one?"
My mom sighs and shakes her head. "I don't. Their father gets her most of the time. I feel bad."
"Hey! I'm right here you know!" I snap back.
Amy laughs and Kyle nearly falls off the chair.
"Pfft- No way! Hahaha!" Kyle keeps laughing while Amy calms down.
Mrs. Kimmy facepalms. "Qué vamos a hacer con estas?"
All of us, except my mom, cock our heads to the side. None of us understood Spanish, except my mom, who took that as her class of choice in highschool.
My mom shakes her head slightly and sighs. "Okay, I think this is the least drastic thing you three have done all school year... That being said, I'll let you off the hook without any punishment, but if any of you come in here one more time today, you will get sent to the principal... Now, first period is about to start... Hurry up. Don't be late."
With that being said, Kyle, Amy, and I dart out of the office and to our next class.
"No way!" Amy laughs.
"Yeah! I thought we were gonna get the paddle this time!" Kyle jokes.
"Oh, or maybe a slap on the wrist?!" I join in, laughing with the other two.
The three of us got in trouble often. We were exactly popular by any means, but the teachers didn't like our rebellious nature. The office seats must have a plaque of our names on them at this point.
Honestly, considering the amount of principal visits we give each year, it's a shock we haven't gotten expelled yet. I guess my artistic talent, Amy's musical talent, and Kyle's helpfulness are vital parts of the school. None of us are exactly smart by any means. A B is the best grade I've ever gotten, but we're not failing. I don't usually get F's. D's of C's sure, but not F's.
I walk up the stairs and into our home room with Kyle and Amy. Amy was giggling a bit and making jokes with Kyle, who was completely oblivious to what she was doing. Dang these two are gonna be Prom Queen and King. I can just see it.
