Royal Guards are an exclusive unit just like the Special Branch, except they mainly ensure the safety of the Royal Family and have a strict training drill than even the Marines or the Covert Ops. The units found have been around for more than 16,000 years already and were considered to be the most honorable position, not just a job to anyone who was recruited into the Guards.

Blade Wolf, a metallic wolf-like machine with a dangerous tail that can slice through concrete and metal buildings in one swipe, can throw six throwing knives and have four plasma combat knives below all of his metallic paws that can extend outward. Blade Wolf also mounts a Plasma Katana on its back which he he can then unsheath with his tail for a sword duel.
Blade Wolf originates from the research facility on Okinawa Island as the result of Project Wolverine. General [Classified] sponsored the project in hopes of gaining a machine that obeys only his words and has plans that involve killing the Royal Family for future gains. However, Blade Wolf proves to be more than just a machine, but a sentient AI that can think like a human and feel emotions. This was discovered during the testing when Wolf Blade was ordered to kill a small faunus girl. Wolf Blade chooses to disobey the order and helps the child to escape the facility after killing the security that was sent to suppress him and capture him alive. When Wolf Blade escapes with the faunus girl, they were in luck when the Royal convoy that Hinomoto was on just happens to be nearby. Wolf Blade stops the convoy in the track and practically begged to be given an audience by the Empress while the Royal Guards was keeping them away from Hinomoto. This peak the interest of Empress as she never seen a machine actually begging before and allowed for an audience. When Wolf Blade revealed everything the General had planned and how he escaped with the small faunus girl. Hinomoto was furious and ordered a arrest on General [Classified] leading to a full investigation within the military to root out any more person that wants to assasinate the Royal Family. When the small faunus girl was returned to the desperate family who were looking for the girl. Wolf Blade was given the opportunity to join the Royal Guard by the Empress, which he accepts immediately wanting to return the debts. He would raise through the ranks to leader after 60 years in service and never take shit from those who badmouths him or the Royal Family.
