The next day, I was met with a message from Catastrophe which was random, because I don't remember giving him my phone number.
Cat: "Don't worry about how I got it, I need you guys to meet me soon in this area: {Location}"
Y/N: "Be there soon"
Y/N: That was weird, how did he get my number? Whatever, I need to let the other guys know.
You head to wake up the others telling them what happened.
Welt: Did you give him your phone number?
Y/N: No, I didn't, I'm kinda wondering how he got it.
Welt: Hmm, that's weird, we should probably talk to him.
Y/N: Yeah...
Welt: Let's go.
We headed over to the location which was still inside the base, it was an area that hosted debriefings, and when we got there, we saw 2 people, one was Cat, and the other, we didn't know.
Cat: Morning guys! We're having a little debriefing today, but nothing much.
Dan Heng: If I may ask, who is the other person?
???: Me?
Cat: Who else dumbass? His name is Naemper, one of my fellow officers.
Naemper: I'm here today because one of the recon teams I was training came across a potential base that the radicals are using.
Cat: Me and you guys are going to raid it, and see if we get any intel. But first off we will need a coordinator representing the Astral Express.
All of us looked at Himeko knowing who it was going to be.
Y/N: You knew didn't you?
Himeko: Yeah, I mean who else would it be?
Cat: Now that we have that, anyone have any questions?
? - Yeah, what team found this base?
? - Yeah, where are we going?
? - Yeah, why isn't Naemper going?
? - Yeah, why don't we have any other soldiers?
> That's all.
March: Yeah! what are we waiting for?
Cat: Nothing! Let's go!
We got in a vehicle, and started heading over to the area, and then we started hearing engines in the air, we looked to see what it was, and it was planes!
Cat: Yeah, yesterday they weren't on that high of alert because they were doing preparations for stuff, but now that that's done, and that I'm here, it's a bit higher as you can see.
Welt: I've been meaning to ask, what does OL mean?
Cat: Oh, sorry for not explaining, OL means On Land. The reason we call it the OL Airforce is because ships are too big to have on a planet and having some kind of support in the skies is volatile. So to get rid of any confusion between the ships in space and planes in the sky, we differentiated them.
Dan Heng: But shouldn't the fact that they are named ships and planes be enough of a differentiation?
Cat: You'd be surprised with how many times people don't differentiate them.
A little while after, we got to a point where we stopped, a little ways away from the base, but this was the safest drop off point.
Cat: We're gonna have to walk.
Y/N: Are we sure Mr. Yang can even walk that far?
Dan Heng: Y/N...
Welt doesn't respond and just ignores it.
Cat: Don't fixate on it that much, it isn't THAT far.
We walked for a while before we came upon a small encampment, it only had a few people with it but it was obvious that it was an enemy one.
Y/N: Peace was never an option.
I say as I grab my bat, but Cat grabs my collar.
Cat: No, we don't want to alert them, let's sneak past, unless you want the people we're supposed to raid to flee.
Y/N: But this'll be the easiest way to win!
Cat: No, we are sneaking past them, end of story.
Switching to Catastrophe's POV
Man this is nerve racking, I don't want this mission to go to shit, because the war of info is the war to be fighting right now. However, maybe this could be a bad thing for us? No, me leading them could be a good thing, as I could control this outcome, let's just see how this goes.
Cat: Let's go around, if we do that, we could get through this without alerting them.
The base should be here somewhere , I should know this more than anyone.
Cat: It should be close, entrance is behind some trees, guarded by patrols though.
Y/N how close would you say?
Cat: Probably like 50 yards away, but very close.
We got there, and saw some guards, they were walking around, patrolling, only two of them–
Cat: We should probably be able to knock them out.
I snuck up at one of the guards from behind and put them in a chokehold for a bit till they were knocked out. I could've snapped their neck, but this one in particular was a former IPC member, and I try to make a point of not killing formers unless absolutely necessary.
Y/N just knocked the other one unconscious with their bat so I don't know what to do there.
Cat: Let's go inside.
We went inside and was met with silence, not even a single sound, which was weird for what is going on.
Then we were met with a few other guards charging at us, all of them revolutionaries, I pull out the gun, and fire a couple shots at them only hitting one of them, the other missed.
This battle was only just beginning.
Switching to Y/N's POV
We basically just got in here, and got attacked, I thought we weren't going to try and alert them, but I guess that's out of the bucket now.
Welt put up a field that slows all the enemies down, I didn't know he could do that, eh, I haven't really seen him fight...
March fires some arrows and hits one of the enemy with both, and Dan Heng is fighting one with his spear.
And I'm busy with one enemy right now, surprisingly enough he can parry quite well, he has some good training.
Y/N: This is just like a game isn't it? Well, let's rail them!
Dan Heng and March: What is she talking about?
