Chapter 6 theres no place like homecoming

The girls all went to arias to cheer her up. "What are you guys doing?" said aria. "An intervention," said lizzy. "We brought magazines, and takeout," said emily. "But you can't have any of those till you get out of those sweats," said hannah. "Why what's wrong with these?" said aria looking at herself then back at her friends. "Nothing." said lizzy "yeah except they're starting to grab onto your skin.  "Well there comfy" said aria "so are mom jeans and platform flip flops" said hannah.
"Besides, how are we supposed to help you pick out a homecoming dress if you don't try some on for us?" said emily.  "That's easy, I'm not going," said aria. "What do you mean you're not going?" said hannah. "Yeah you have to go" said lizzy "what are you doing instead?" asked emily. "Well I guess I'll just read these and then inhale a gallon of chunky monkey," said aria.
"Hey, cutting yourself off from the rest of your life isn't gonna help your parents." said spencer "and besides they might still work it out" said lizzy.
"They're barely speaking to each other." said aria
  "People get angry they blow up, doesnt mean its over." said emily
"Emily, they didn't blow up because he missed their anniversary. He slept with one of his students" said hannah "sorry" she said turning to aria.
"I'm just saying things can look over on friday and by monday all is forgiven" said emily. "Yeah maybe," said Aria sadly. "Okay so you're coming!!" yelled spencer. "Come on," said Lizzy, pulling Aria off the bed.
"I'll think about it," said aria. "Well if you're not coming, will you atleast cast an absentee ballot?" said Hannah, they all rolled their eyes. "What I need is her vote!" yelled Hannah  "Hannah stop it!" said lizzy "you have homecoming queen locked down." said spencer "really? You can rig the election?" asked hannah. "Sorry I have enough to do already, I'm head of the comedy half of which is sick with the flu so i'll be restocking the ice and refilling the hummus bowl, and trying to look cute for my first official date" said spencer. "With alex?!" said lizzy, spencer nodded smiling. "Wait, you're bringing him to homecoming, so this is real?" asked Aria, Spencer smiled.
"Look at her blush!" said hanna. "Now I have to come," said aria.
"But seriously guys he's not gonna know anybody there so, can you just do your best to make him feel included?" asked spencer. "No, we were planning on freezing him out," joked hannah. "Moving on, em who are you gonna bring?" asked spencer. "I was thinking of going stag." said emily. "I will to." said Aria "what about you liz wanna go stag with us?" asked emily
"Theres someone i kinda wanna go with." said lizzy "what who why didn't you tell us" said spencer. "Well he sat with me during study hall the other day and we've been talking and he asked me yesterday," said lizzy. "Who is it? What's his name?" asked hannah. "Its connor wood" said
"Okay, he's cute," said aria.
"Okay well aria and emily you two should go together, yeah you two would be the cutest couple." Spencer joked "how did i just go from wearing mom jeans to being Samantha Ronson" said aria. Spencer and Aria laughed. 
Lizzy and Hannah both looked at Emily who was obviously uncomfortable.
"Who cares who anyone goes to this thing with? I mean it's just a dance, you should bring someone you have fun with." said hannah. "I might wanna go with someone, but I don't want people thinking it means more than it does." said emily.  "Are you and Ben back together?" asked spencer. "No, of course not." said Emily, "so who's the mystery dude?" asked aria
"I'm starving!" yelled Hannah grabbing a bag of the takeout. "Me too." said Lizzy, taking hers.

Hannah opened up her fortune cookie and just sat there staring at it. "What's wrong?" asked lizzy. "Bad fortune?" said emily. "Yeah the future says stop being such a drama queen," said spencer. "Lions and tigers and bears oh my, there's no place like homecoming see ya there, A" said hannah reading the a message. They all looked at eachother scared, Spencer grabbed another cookie and so did all the girls and they all had the same A message on them.

School hasn't started yet lizzy got there kinda early so she could eat breakfast with connor
"Hey!" Lizzy said sitting next to him
"Hey..." said Connor nervously
"Why are you acting all weird all of a sudden" Lizzy giggled
"Do you maybe wanna go to homecoming with me" asked Connor
She stopped for a minute her mind trailed off to him the boy a year ago she was so desperately In Love with the boy who definitely didn't feel the same. "Liz?" Said Connor alerting her out of her thoughts.
"Sorry, sure! I'd love to!" Said Lizzy excitedly
