Dark black eyes, that were once that of a crow, stared inquisitively as the girl disappeared into the streets.

Leaning against the tree with his arms crossed, he inhaled deeply and closed his eyes- taking in the smell of the rain and grass around him.

He loved the smell of Earth, its untainted grounds emitted such miraculous smells. Compared to the decaying, bloody scent of the underworld, Earth was sweet and it possessed so many wonderful qualities Jaemin couldn't even understand why anyone would want to leave it.

He listened around, nothing but quietness filled his mind. No screams or unpleasant sobbing could be heard.  Well, besides the gurgling of someone choking to death about 5 minutes away. A wave of energy washed through his body indicating that the individual had died- but he remained still.

He knew that someone from the other department would handle it, that wasn't his job anymore.

It was peaceful in the park, it wasn't often Jaemin got to experience this sort of quietness-

"Ugh, you would think that once they're dead they'd just accept that fact and follow you willingly. I hate fighters," groaned a voice behind him and Jaemin dropped his head with a sigh.

Well that didn't last long.

"Thanks for helping by the way, here you are, not even a block away and yet I was the one who had to stop eating my dinner to come bring that man to hell," groaned Renjun.

"Not my job," Jaemin said monotonously, not looking away from the park as he heard his two other friends appear behind him.

Renjun rolled his eyes as he leant against another tree near Jaemin.

"Stalking the weak again Jae?" Haechan joked, nudging the boy in the shoulder and Jaemin glared at the Prince.

His crimson red hair with black streaks fell messily over his forehead and the corner of his lips were stained red.
"Running through the forest after the innocent again, Haechan."

The Prince cleaned off the side of his lips with his finger and sucked the blood clean, "and how they were delicious," he reminisced jocundly.

"At least some of us get to finish what we started. I couldn't even finish my dinner because Jaemin here was too busy staring off at trees than retrieving the dead," Renjun huffed and crossed his arms- his pitch black eyes burned holes into Jaemin.

"Like I said. Not my job," the boy repeated monotonously once again, causing Renjun to push off the tree, his anger bubbling and boiling causing his fingers to light up with fire.

The hot red embers swirled around his balled fists as he stomped his way over to Jaemin, who remained stoic.

"Listen here asshole, next time you're fucking starving and have been busy with work all fucking day and you finally get the chance to sit down and devour your mortal- I'm gonna come in and rip them away and force you to carry out another shit ass job of the most insufferable kind- the ones that actually want to continue to live and try to fight their way back to their dead fucking body and then I'm gonna give you fucking attitude and then I'm gonna rip your head off too coz now I'm just annoyed," Renjun seethed with gritted teeth and pitch black eyes.

"Geez, someone's hangry," Haechan said jokingly and Renjun turned his piercing gaze to the Prince.

"Okay okay, enough bickering you two," Jeno interjected, stepping between the two demons: one who was ready to snap and one who couldn't give less of a crap.
"Besides, we're here for a job, so I think we should just get it over with and do it."

Renjuns flames dulled out to smoke as he stretched his fingers and let the smoke dissipate under the rain.
"Let's just get this over with so I can finally fucking eat."

"I don't particularly feel like listening to this moron drag on all night because he has time management issues, so yes, let's hurry this up," Haechan began to walk his way towards the exit of the park.

"I'm not going," Jaemin stated and Haechan stopped in his tracks, his head tilting back in a groan.

"Jaemin, are you fucking serious?" He turned around annoyed, "if you don't come again then my father will find out and then not only will I get the blame but you're gonna be punished again. So for everyone's sake, just fucking come with us."

Jaemins gaze drifted off behind Haechans shoulder towards the street the girl disappeared down.
"I'm not going. I have something else to do," and with that, the boy turned around and disappeared into the shadows, vanishing in front of their eyes.

"I'm going to kill him one day," Haechan seethed before turning around and exiting the park.
