Ba Reum was walking in between Moo Chi and Hyuk following, feeling a little fuzzy between the two.
"So, to the park?" Moo Chi said, trying to ignore the feeling in his chest while Ba Reum was still holding not only the prosecutor's hand but also his.
It was a weird feeling. He had always said that he didn't want a little, thinking it too much responsibility and thinking that he just wasn't the right person for anyone.
But the way Ba Reum was easily grabbing him and the way the little clearly would do better if there was someone extra looking out for him. Not that the prosecutor was doing a bad job, but perhaps just another extra person would do him a world of good.
Trying to shake the thought off, he paid attention to the prosecutor.
"Yeah, the weather is nice," Hyuk said, smiling a little, "and it's nice to spend time together, right Ba Reum?"
"Yeah. Like walking in the park," the little said, trying to focus on the conversation instead of the fuzzy feeling in his mind.
He suddenly realized that he was holding both their hands, and that he was big right now, so he hurriedly let go.
"Sorry," Ba Reum said, putting his hands in his pockets, his face flushed.
"You can keep on holding my hands, sweetie, it's fine," Hyuk said, trying to not let the look of disappointment be visible on his face.
"Oh, no it's fine. I'm big and all," Ba Reum said, and for a few moments it was silent.
"So, what do you guys like to do together?" Moo Chi said, easily breaking the silence, "does he talk a lot about how naughty all the detectives are?"
"Oh, no he doesn't. He did say that you were a good one," Ba Reum said, making Moo Chi look in surprise at Hyuk, who flushed.
"I told him that there was a good person coming to teach," Hyuk said, the grin on Moo Chi's face wide now.
"Oh gosh, I always knew you liked me," Moo Chi said, "need to find more excuses to visit the office."
"Oh dear god, don't," Hyuk said with a groan, making Moo Chi laugh and Ba Reum smile a bit at the banter. It was clear that his mommy really liked the detective.
"You get in trouble a lot?" Ba Reum asked, feeling a little curious about how far a detective could push it. He wasn't really a troublemaker, but he sometimes got in trouble even if he tried his best to stay out of it.
"Well, I wouldn't say a lot," Moo Chi said with a smile, bending towards Ba Reum, "just enough to not make my dear prosecutor feel lonely."
"So that's your plan," Hyuk said, a smirk on his face, "well, I guess we can make accommodations if you think I'm lonely. Weekly appointments to discuss your work."
"Oh, don't threaten me with a good time," Moo Chi said, "beside, where would you find the time for that? You only work halftime these days."
"It's true that discussing your shenanigans is a full-time job in itself," Hyuk said, before turning to Ba Reum, "see, that's what I have to deal with on a daily basis."
"You seem to be having fun," Ba Reum said, glad to see his mommy happy.
"See, we come back to the beginning of the conversation. You like me," Moo Chi said with a smug grin, making Hyuk grumble, but it was playful, "and you? You like daddy?"
"Daddy?" Ba Reum asked, looking visibly confused for a moment, before flushing when he realised Moo Chi meant Hyuk.
"You don't call him daddy? What is then? Papa?" Moo Chi asked, frowning a little when he saw the bright red flush on Hyuk's face, which was mimicked on Ba Reum's. For a moment, he wondered if he should back off, but he was rather curious about it. Knowing that Hyuk would tell him to back off if necessary, he continued guessing, "pop? Dad? Dada? Padre?"
