Thick fog hung over the city of London. The sun barely shed light onto the damp streets, a couple of men were blowing out the tall street lamps. I sat on the curb in front of the small flat I used to work in until my master left last night, taking everything with him except for my maid uniform, cardigan and hat.

"Bloody bastard." I mumbled to myself as I rested my head on my hand.

There was a small gust of wind sent a chill down my spine, which made me pull my small cardigan closer around me. Some maple leaves twirled around and down the cobblestone street. My (e/c) hair seemed to dance a little in the wind. The small gust turned into a more aggressive gust, knocking my small hat off my head and causing it to tumble down the sidewalk.

"Of course, thanks a lot wind." I rolled my eyes as I got up and chased after my hat.

For being a cold morning, there weren't very many people around even though I had to push through a small crowd to continue to chase my hat. I must have ran 3 blocks just to catch up to my hat, I was breathing heavily and a light sweat formed on my forehead. I bent down to pick up my hat when a white gloved hand already had it.

"Looks like you lost this my lady." A smooth voice rang through my ears making me shiver slightly.

"Th-thanks." I stood up straight as I looked at a man in a butler uniform.

He looked at my hat, turning it every which way. His eyes were the color of rubies, and his raven black hair seemed to dance at a breeze that hit both of us. He finally caught my eye and smiled; handing me my hat. I took it gently and put it back on.

"Sebastian." A boy showed up behind me.

The boy had blue hair, he had one eye showing, it was piercing blue, the other eye was covered with an eye patch. He looked like an Earl by the way he was dressed.

"The shop seems to have picked up all of their shipments, and everything is running to my liking." The young boy spoke like an adult.

'The butler must be named Sebastian....' I thought to myself, as I looked around and saw we were standing in front of the Funtom candy shop. 'He must own this shop or something....I remember hearing about him...'

        "Yes, my lord." Sebastian bowed

The boy looked over at me as he fumbled with his cane. "Sebastian, who is this?" The boy asked.

"I-I'm ________ ________, pleased to meet you." I managed a small smile and a curtsy.

"Her master left her in the middle of the night, leaving her to live on the streets." Sebastian answered now smirking at me and trying to catch my eye.

'How did he know all of that? I don't remember telling him anything...' He finally caught my eye, but I quickly looked down at my apron and smoothed it out.

"Hm." He looked at me and let out a breath, "Do we still have that extra room by your quarters?" The young boy looked up at his butler.

"I believe so my lord." Sebastian spoke smoothly and looked interested into what was going to happen next.

"Good," The boy looked back at me. "________, you will be one of my servants now. I'm sure Sebastian could teach you something. You better not turn out like other three bloody servants...at least Tanaka doesn't cause trouble." The boy smirked, "I'm Ciel Phantomhive."

I smiled and nodded as he walked next to Sebastian.

"Let's go to the carriage, I've had enough of this weather this morning." The boy said as he suddenly turned around and started walking away.

"Yes, my lord." Sebastian bowed, and looked at me.

"Do you need me to carry anything?" Sebastian asked as he stooped down to my height.

I shook my head and blushed a little since he was so close to my face.

"My lady." Sebastian stood back up straight and linked his arm around mine.

We followed the boy to a big carriage, in the front seat were three other servants.

"Oh look! Master Ciel and Sebastian are back!" One of the servants with light orange hair chimed, he looked at me with his turquoise eyes, "There's a new girl too!" He was dressed like a gardener and was very excited.

'So I am going to be living with Ciel Phantomhive?!' I thought to myself as I stood shyly next to Sebastian.

"Hello young miss!" The girl servant with cracked round glasses and red pigtails smiled and waved.

"Hmph, nice to meet you." The strong looking servant with a flat top styled hair kept his eyes on the reins he had in his hands.

"You can ride with Sebastian and I inside the carriage if you like." Ciel said as Sebastian helped him in.

I smiled and nodded and then quickly looked at Sebastian. He had a devilish smile and he held his hand out to help me in. I gently took his hand and climbed inside the carriage. Ciel was already sitting on the right so I took the other side. The inside of the carriage was very comforting.

Sebastian finally climbed in, closed the door and sat down next to Ciel.

The carriage immediately started to move down the streets. I couldn't help but notice how Sebastian kept staring at me with those ruby eyes like I was something to eat. I shivered a little at the thought.

"Do you work well?" Ciel asked; breaking the silence.

"Y-yes, my master said I was one of the best servants he had had." I smiled and shivered a little more.

"I expect you to work with Sebastian, and be at my side with him. This means you will have to get up early with him, and help with all of the larger chores." Ciel looked at me with his piercing blue eye and a strong expression.

        I smiled and nodded.

"Pardon me but," Sebastian looked at me and my small cardigan. "you look rather cold." Sebastian got up and sat next to me.

'Oh my lord. Why did you have to come over here?'

Sebastian unbuttoned his big coat and leaned in close to my neck to wrap it around me. I could feel his warm breath graze my neck, which sent a shiver down my spine. He quickly was sitting just the way he was as if nothing happened. Ciel was paying no attention, and was staring out the window deep in thought.

I still shivered a little more, mostly from shock that Sebastian had been so close to me. I could feel Sebastian still eyeing me, like he was studying my expression. My (e/c) hair was curled in spirals at the ends, and a curl down the front of my shoulder.

Sebastian seemed to be getting closer to me every second.

'HELLO?! Ciel, please do something about your butler! I think he's going to eat me!'

By now, Sebastian was sitting right next to me. I could feel some body heat from him which only made me shiver again. He leaned in close to me again, as he lifted up my hair to pull the jacket up to my neck. I heard him inhale slightly as the laid my (e/c) hair back down over the jacket. He then put his arm around me to pull me closer. Sebastian bent his head down close to my ear.

"You look absolutely appetizing." He whispered quietly, as his warm breath lingered against my earlobe every so slightly.

My face turned bright red and I think I stopped breathing for a second. I looked up at Sebastian who was still pretending like nothing happened.

'So did this just happen or not?! How am I supposed to live in the same house as him?! Ciel!'
