The next few days after their meeting at the coffee shop were calm. Sand and Gaipa met from time to time around campus, exchanging a few words or even meeting for a quick coffee together after class. Little by little, without realizing it, they became closer, and they enjoyed spending time together. Despite Gaipa still being the talk of the entire campus, no one bothered him at any time after Sand's words the other day in front of everyone.

GAIPA

Suddenly, Gaipa stopped seeing Sand on campus and he didn't know why. He looked for him everywhere, but there was no way to find him. More than once he had found himself with his phone in his hands, with Sand's number on the screen, ready to call him... But he didn't dare to do it any of the times. He didn't want to admit that he cared so much about him. So he finally decided to go for the easy option, asking Nick.

He went to the engineering faculty to find Nick to ask him about Sand's whereabouts. He didn't want to admit it out loud, but he missed him. He missed his jokes, his smile, his scent... No no no, he had to keep his mind clear, and not get carried away by those feelings.

When he found him, of course, he was standing next to Leng, chatting. They both seemed very comfortable around each other. He would have to ask Leng someday if there was something between them that he didn't know about.

"Hello Leng! Hello Nick! How are you?" - asked Gaipa when he reached him.

"Hey, look who we have here! Sand's protégé!" - said Leng smiling

"Stop calling me that, Leng!" - said Gaipa blushing - "Speaking of Sand, do you know anything about him? I haven't seen him for days..."

"Wow... has the homesickness syndrome started already, Gaipa? What really happened the night you met? Sand has never wanted to talk about it, was it that good?" - said Nick giggling.

"It's nothing like that Nick!" - said Gaipa hitting a small punch in the arm - "It's just that I'm worried that something bad could have happened to him" - said Gaipa with a worried voice.

"Don't worry, Gaipa, Sand is fine, nothing bad has happened to him. He's simply been locked up at home getting ready, because today he is having his rut" - said Nick curiously looking at Gaipa's expression.

Gaipa's mind went blank upon hearing Nick's words. Sand. In rut. Gaipa knew what an Alpha's rut was like, having shared several with his previous partner. Just imagining Sand like that made his hands start to sweat and his pulse quicken.

"By the way, Gaipa, you have Sand's phone number. Why haven't you written or called him to ask him directly if something was wrong?" - said Nicky curiously.

"Because..." - said Gaipa blushing

"You like Sand, right? You can tell me, I'm not going to tell him anything if you don't want me to" - Nick asked bluntly - "It's normal, everyone is attracted to Sand, he's like a magnet for everyone, impossible to resist"

Gaipa was red as a tomato, not knowing how to react to Nick's words. Did he like Sand? Too much... he felt too attracted to him. But Sand is an Alpha. He felt fear and contempt for all Alphas. But at the same time he felt so safe at his side...

"No! I don't like Sand! He's... he's just a friend!" - said Gaipa nervously.

Leng and Nick looked at Gaipa with amusement and empathy. It was clear that the Omega was crazy about Sand - "Of course Gaipa, whatever you say!" - said Leng laughing quietly.

"Nick, can I ask you a question? If Sand has so much magnetism with the people around him, how do you do it so that it doesn't affect you?" - said Gaipa curiously while blushing a little.
