MD - remind me again why i let you convince me to join this dating app?

MD2 - cause we're both sexually deprived and lonely af?

MD - that's true 🥲😒

Mel continues to swipe left and right on this new dating app that Morgan somehow convinced her to download. "If i match with someone and they end up killing me, you're paying for my funeral." She told her. Morgan shrugs. "Deal." And here she was on a Saturday night, swiping left and right like it was her job or something while Morgan was out on a date with someone she matched with. She has yet to match with anyone though. Then again, she didn't really care, she only did it to pass time and make it look like she actually was looking for someone, since Morgan checks her phone sometimes. She swipes left and right mindlessly until she comes across a photo of a blonde and a dark haired brunette. "Oh my god...." She swipes through her pictures to conclude that it was the blonde's profile, it didn't really matter to her, they were both gorgeous. She reads her profile info.

Hi, my name is Ruby Rose, I'm the blonde, my best friend is Kylie (in the pictures) if you have a problem with her, you have a problem with me. And don't even bother trying to hit on her, she's taken. I like to listen to music, blast music in the car with my bestie while singing along, dancing is my passion. THIS IS NOT A COUPLE PROFILE! DON'T DM ME ASKING FOR A THREESOME, I WILL BLOCK YOU, YOU SICKO!

She swipes right immediately. Match found! Her heart races as it automatically opens the messages. She thinks about what she wants to say. The first message is always important, don't want to come off as a creep but also don't want to come off like you don't care or you're just looking for a quick fuck. She starts typing.

Mel - Hi! Can i just say you're absolutely gorgeous 😍

That's not too creepy, right? It's just a compliment. Fuck, that was creepy. No, it wasn't. Wait, yes it was.

Ruby was out when her phone goes off. "Sorry, it's my best friend, she's getting married so she tends to ask my opinion for some last minute details." "Oh no, please. Go ahead." She smiles as she opens her phone. Oh, it wasn't Kylie. It was her dating app. She opens the notification. Match found! She taps on the profile. Melody. Damn, that's a beautiful name. She opens her photos. Damn, this girl is as beautiful as her name. She opens her profile info.

Hello, my name is Melody, please call me Mel. As my name suggests, i like music, dancing, singing, i play drums, guitar, bass and piano. My best friend forced me to make this profile but if we match, we match. I've been burned before so if you're looking to play, you can forget it, but that also means I'll love you and treat you right.

Interesting profile. Ruby thought. She opens her message. She blushes slightly as she reads it.

Ruby - Thank you ☺️ i like ur name, beautiful name for a beautiful girl 😉

So she's a flirt, sue her. Then she suddenly remembers she's in the middle of a date right now. "Everything ok?" Ruby nods. "Yeah, everything's fine. Uh, she just wanted to double check with me if I'll have a date for her wedding so she can know how much food and tables to book." She lied. Well, technically she didn't lie. Her best friend was getting married, she had been pestering her about if she's gonna bring a date or not. "Ruby, you've been single for too long! I've missed our double dates!" Kylie pouts. "Well, what do you want from me?" Kylie takes her phone and returns it within a few minutes. Ruby takes her phone back. "You made me a profile on a dating app?!" Kylie sighs. "Rube, Malia and i are getting married soon and i want my maid of honor there, but i also want you to have a good time, bring a date. Try and meet someone on this app. Get to know them, invite them to the wedding! You have six months," Ruby opens her mouth. "Yes, i am giving you a deadline!" Kylie stares at her. Ruby looks to Malia for help. "Oh no, don't put me in the middle of this. This is between you two. But she is right, Ruby. You promised you'd have a date." Ruby sighs. "Alright fine."

"Well, are you gonna have a date to her wedding?" Morgan smirks. Ruby smiles at her. "Maybe. Who knows?" She casually flirts back. She kinda liked Morgan, she was pretty and she could actually keep up a conversation with her. Instead of the guys that she's been matching with that clearly only wanted to get into her pants. "Um, i actually have work tomorrow, do you mind if we call it a night?" Ruby asks. Morgan nods. "Of course, no problem. I actually have work too." They part ways and call it a night. Ruby finally makes it back to her apartment and changes into her pj's. "Oh shit, i forgot to reply."

Mel - i can say the same thing to u

Mel - did i scare u off already?

Ruby actually laughs out loud before she replies.

Ruby - sorry, i got sidetracked. But no, u didn't scare me off at all

Mel - good, I'm glad 😊

Mel - so tell me about yourself

Ruby bites her lip as she continues to message this 'Mel' till she falls asleep.

Her alarm goes off and she quickly shuts it off. "Oh mother fuck." Mel groans and gets out of bed. She changes and gets ready for work. As she waits for the coffee to brew, Morgan walks out of her room. "Hey." "Ughh...." Morgan groans. Mel laughs as she sips her coffee. She checks her watch. "Oh fuck! I'll see you later." She chugs it down and hurries out the door. Morgan barely nods at her. She gets to work and puts her apron on. "Sorry, i know I'm a little late." "Just don't let it happen again." Christian shoves a bucket of potatoes at her. "These need peeling." Mel rolls her eyes and starts peeling them. "Oh no, it's ok, you don't gotta help me." She tells her.

--

Morgan's phone goes off. "What the fuck do you want?" She answers. "Good morning to you too! I need you down here." She rolls her eyes. "It's supposed to be my day off." "Supposed to be, but turns out it's not." She groans. "I'm on my way." She gets ready and heads out. She parks and takes the elevator up. "Alright, what's this urgent matter that you needed me for?" Tristan turns around in his chair and smiles. He tosses a stack of paper on the table for her to look at. "I just need you to sign." "For?" She takes a glance at it. "I mean, i thought you wanted your own firm?" He smirks at her. "Really? They're branching out?! Finally!" Morgan smiles. Tristan nods and smiles. "Yeah, and they want you to be COO, with me being CEO of course." He smugly leans back on his chair. "Mhm." She sits on his desk and spins him. "Hey!" He falls off and but quickly stands. "I'm gonna let that slide, just this once." "Mhmm." She smirks. She sits and signs the contract next to Tristan's name. "So, now what?" "Now, we make our dreams come true!" He smiles.
