Rowan thought she had to protect Charles from being eye candy to every female in the club, but in reality, Charles was the one who needed to keep Rowan by his side. First, it was the bouncer, Charles was getting ready to pay the entree fee when he noticed the man checking Rowan out before letting them in. Next was near the lounge area and Charles noticed a man, more like a boy in his eyes, biting his lips while getting a glimpse of Rowan's ass. When they walked by them, Charles slapped the back of the man's head rather roughly before pulling Rowan closer to his side.
"Did you hear someone groan?" Rowan asked innocently as they got on the dance floor.
"Didn't hear anything," Charles lied as he looked around the crowd. When he didn't see Bruce, he grabbed Rowan's hand and dragged her away toward the side of the room.
Rowan looked around as well but didn't see the younger Sun anywhere. "Maybe he's in the bathroom or something?" she suggested. Charles shook his head before his eyes found another problem.
Two guys were across the room, not even hiding that they were checking Rowan out. Rowan noticed them too because one guy raised his hand to create a peace sign over his mouth before sticking his tongue out and flicking it around. Charles took that as a challenge. He glared at the boys before kissing Rowan. He gripped her hips to pull her closer to him after she wrapped her arms around his neck. Charles tilted his head to deepen the kiss and then he had a makeout session with her. He glanced over to see the guys gone, so he slowly pulled away. When he heard Rowan chuckle, he looked at her with a raised brow.
"What?"
"Jealous much?" Rowan teased.
"I'm not jealous," Charles said. He had to turn his head when he saw Rowan's grin getting wider. That's when he noticed May Song, leader of the White Crane gang, not that far from them.
Rowan looked over. "She's cute."
"She's dangerous," Charles corrected her. "Don't leave my side. Not for a second. You understand?" Rowan nodded.
She opened her mouth to say something until a perky brunette in a skin-tight dress stopped next to her and placed a hand on Charles's shoulder. "Dance with me?" she asked with a flirtatious smile while pushing Charles toward the dance floor.
"No, I don't have time for this," Charles said as he held his hands up and not placing his hands on her. If there's anything Charles 'Chair Leg' Sun is terrified of, it is facing the wrath of an angry Rowan. He made that mistake once...never again.
"Just one dance."
"Sure," Rowan answered with a sarcastic grin as she gently pushed the girl away. "I'm sure you'll like my next move called get away from my boyfriend or my foot's gonna go up your ass." The woman scoffed before leaving the couple. Rowan looked over to see a little smirk on Charles's face. "What?"
"Jealous, much?" Charles repeated the same words she had thrown at him. Rowan rolled her eyes but smiled nonetheless. Charles placed one hand on her waist to gently pull her close. "You're mine, remember that."
"Until the end of time."
The couple went to kiss until a few dancers bumped into them, making them collide with the person behind them. Charles went to apologize but froze when he realized they bumped into Bruce.
Bruce, not knowing who they were, saw Charles eyeing the White Crane pin that was on the collar of his hoodie. He assumed they were there to buy drugs and asked very sloppily, "Oh! Uh...you want some snow?" Rowan chuckled, already finding Bruce adorable. Charles on the other hand, was confused as to why his younger brother was selling drugs. "You know, some - some pearl?" Bruce smiled while pointing to his nose. "Nose candy? Uh, how about a disco biscuit?"
