As the excitement of their discovery hung in the air, Marcus, who had been unusually quiet, leaned closer to the laptop screen. His brow furrowed with concern as he read the text displayed on the page.

"Guys, look..." he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "It says Joncy Devouskey found dead on October 24, 2024, at 3:12 AM."

The room fell silent. The words hung heavy in the air, each syllable reverberating in the collective minds of the group. Leo felt a cold shiver run down his spine. "Wait, what? Are you serious?"

"Yeah," Marcus continued, his finger trembling slightly as he pointed to the screen. "It says right here... he died earlier this morning."

Eren and Will leaned in, their expressions shifting from excitement to shock. "What does this mean?" Eren asked, his voice tinged with disbelief. "This can't be right. We were just planning to go to his house!"

"Is this some kind of sick joke?" Will added, his earlier enthusiasm extinguished. "What are the odds we find this out just as we're getting ready to search for him?"

"Do we even know if this is real?" Leo asked, trying to keep a level head amid the swirling emotions. "I mean, it could be fake news, right? Or a mistake?"

Marcus shook his head, his eyes wide with worry. "No, look at the date. It's today. If he's really dead, then... what happened? Why was he in the theater's history?"

Eren's fingers danced across the keyboard again, searching for more information. "Let me see if there are any news articles about it." As he navigated the website, the tension in the garage grew thicker, each second feeling like an eternity.

Finally, Eren's screen flickered with new results. "Here! There's a news article. It says he was found in his home... but there's no explanation yet for how or why he died."

Leo's heart raced. "We need to figure this out. If he was connected to the theater, then this could be the key to everything we've been trying to uncover."

"Or it could mean we're in over our heads," Marcus said quietly, anxiety creeping into his voice. "What if this is dangerous? What if something in that theater really is... dangerous?"

Will, trying to rally the group's spirits, clapped his hands together. "Okay, we need to take a step back. Let's think this through. If he really did die, what does that mean for our investigation? Is it worth it to go to his house now?"

"It's not just about the house anymore," Leo replied, determination creeping back into his tone. "If he died under mysterious circumstances, we have to know why. We owe it to him-and to ourselves-to find out the truth. We can't let fear stop us."

Eren nodded in agreement. "I think we need to go, but we have to be careful. We should stick together and keep our eyes open for anything unusual. If there are still answers to be found, we need to be prepared for anything."

"Right," Marcus said, swallowing hard. "I guess we can't just ignore it now. If he had something to do with the theater, then maybe... just maybe... we'll find the answers we're looking for."

The group exchanged determined glances, their resolve solidifying in the face of uncertainty. Despite the unease gnawing at them, they knew they had to press on. As they made plans to head to Joncy Devouskey's house, a sense of urgency filled the air.

This was no longer just about uncovering the secrets of an old theater-it had taken on a life of its own, entwined with the mystery of a man whose fate was now part of their own story. As they gathered their things, Leo couldn't shake the feeling that they were stepping into something far deeper than any of them had anticipated.

With hearts pounding and minds racing, they set out, ready to face whatever lay ahead. The shadows of Crestview High had revealed themselves, and now they were determined to uncover the truth hidden within.
