Frisk and Kachina rode atop a long-necked Saurian, its smooth movements rocking them gently as they made their way to the stadium. The wind tousled their hair, and the rising sun cast a golden glow over the landscape.
What made the sight even more breathtaking was the gathering of humans and monsters—walking together, running side by side, some even flying through the sky.
Laughter and cheerful voices filled the air as the creatures bonded with ease.
Frisk couldn’t help but notice that many monsters had already befriended the Saurians.
Large beasts playfully nuzzled them as they walked, and some smaller monsters even perched atop the Saurians’ backs, giggling at the ride.
“It’s… beautiful.” Kachina whispered beside them, her eyes wide with wonder.
Frisk couldn’t agree more.
This was the dream they had fought for, unfolding before their very eyes.
When they arrived at the stadium, their jaws dropped in awe.
The place had been transformed—bright banners of every color draped from the arches, intricate carvings adorned the walls, and the central flame burned brightly once again, illuminating the stadium with a warm and welcoming glow.
Flowers—both local and enchanted—lined the walkways, and above them, festive streamers fluttered in the breeze.
“Whoa,” Kachina whispered, unable to contain her amazement.
“They really outdid themselves this time.”At the far end of the stadium, Mavuika sat regally upon her throne, her presence both comforting and commanding.
The Pyro Archon’s robes shimmered with flames, her fiery hair flickering as though alive.
As the last of the crowd gathered, she rose to speak.
Mavuika’s voice rang out, powerful and clear. “Citizens of Natlan, and honored guests from the Underground!”
The crowd quieted, every face—human, Saurian, and monster—turned toward her.
“For centuries, we lived separated by walls of fear, misunderstanding, and pain.
But today, we stand united. Natlan’s heart beats with new purpose. Today, we form bonds not just of peace, but of trust—between people, between monsters, and with the land we share....The war is behind us, but the spirit of Natlan marches forward. We are not simply returning to the past. We are building a future—a future where all are welcome, where everyone belongs.”
The crowd stirred, murmuring in agreement, excitement spreading like wildfire.
“With every flame that burns here today, we declare: We are one. We are Natlan. From this day forward, we walk together into the sun.”
She raised her hand, and the sacred flame at the heart of the stadium flared brilliantly. The crowd erupted into cheers, voices shouting as one:
“FOR NATLAN!”
T
he Pyro Archon smiled, her eyes glowing with pride.
“Let the celebration begin!”
The entire stadium came alive with joy and festivity.
Music played, dancers twirled, and everywhere Frisk looked, humans, Saurians, and monsters shared food, stories, and laughter.
Frisk and Kachina strolled around the lower floors, where the real party was in full swing.
Stalls lined the walkways, offering everything from food to jewelry to hand-carved trinkets.
People danced in circles, and children—both human and monster—played tag between the booths.
Frisk’s eyes immediately locked onto a fruit juice stall, a familiar sight that sparked a memory.
That same stall.
The one where they had accidentally spilled their drink the day they first heard about the arrival of monsters. They chuckled softly at the memory, realizing how far they had come since that day.
What felt like uncertainty back then had become a shared dream fulfilled.
Just as they reached for the cup of juice, however, a gloved hand stopped them.
Frisk blinked and looked down.
A skeleton in a blue jacket stood there, a playful grin on his face, his hollow eyes giving off an air of mischief.“whoa there, kiddo. you were about to trip.” he said, his voice lazy and warm, like someone who had seen a thousand sunsets and knew every joke worth telling.
Frisk’s eyes widened.
Why did he feel so familiar?
There was something about his grin, that easygoing presence, that stirred a memory they couldn’t quite place.Kachina’s laughter broke the moment.
“Oh! You’ve already made a new friend, huh?”
She gave the skeleton a cheerful wave.
“Hi! I’m Kachina! Nice to meet you!”The skeleton gave her a nod, his grin never fading.
“name’s sans. nice to meet ya too.”Kachina nudged Frisk playfully.
“Don’t look so nervous, Frisk! I think you two are gonna get along just fine.”
With a wink, she left them standing there, disappearing into the crowd with a carefree laugh.Frisk stood awkwardly, glancing at the skeleton, who was now rocking back on his heels with his hands in his pockets, looking entirely at ease.
There was something so strange about this encounter—familiar yet new, like a half-remembered dream.
“so… frisk, huh?” Sans said, tilting his head.
Frisk nodded, still feeling unsure of what to say.
“cool name,” Sans remarked casually.
“you got one of those souls, don’t ya? looks pretty bright.”Frisk blinked, surprised that Sans could see their soul so easily.
But before they could ask, the skeleton gave them a knowing grin.
“don’t worry, kiddo. you’re gonna do just fine here.”And just like that, the awkwardness seemed to melt away.
There was something oddly comforting about Sans—like meeting an old friend you didn’t know you had.
Frisk found themselves smiling, feeling lighter than they had all day.
The war was over, the monsters were here, and the future stretched out before them—full of possibility, full of hope.
“wanna grab that juice now, or are you gonna trip again?” Sans teased, his grin widening.
Frisk laughed, the sound bright and genuine. “Yeah, let’s get that juice.”
And so, side by side with their new friend, Frisk stepped fully into the new world they had helped create.
A world where humans, monsters, and Saurians all walked together, forging new friendships under the bright Natlan sun.
The future was here, and it was theirs to shape—one step, one story, and one smile at a time.
