I hear my captain comes up to me while im treating someone's foot wound and taps on my sholder and I look at him
"How many soldiers are we down?"
"About 10 not too many i can get them patched up quickly"
I look up at him,he nods his head
"And how many are wounded?"
"7 of them just need a quick patch up we lost one and the other two arnt doing so good"
I reply back as I continue to wrap the other guys foot. He sighs and runs a hand through his hair, clearly stressed
"Damn..alright..I need you to come with me"
I nod and follow him, he leads you away from the others, and into a secluded area where no one else is around.
"What's up"
I ask him worried, he glances around before turning back to you, his face stern
"Listen..I need you to do something for me..something important"
"Okay"
I nod, he glances around again, before looking you in the eye
"You can't tell anyone about this..understand?"
"I understand sir"
He nods and takes a deep breath
"Good..I need you to keep a look out for a man named Jackson..he's one of our snipers.."
I nod
"what for sir"
"He's being moved to a different regiment, and he needs to be there within the next three days..and you need to make sure he gets there safely..no matter what"
I nod
"so im moving with him to a different regiment too"
he nods
"Correct..you're the only one I trust to do this..you're also the only one with medical knowledge..and I can't risk Jackson getting injured any further.."
I nod
"I will do my best sir can you give me directions"
he hands you a small map and a compass
"There's a small abandoned building about 10 miles north from here..you and Jackson will be spending the night there until the transfer can be made"
I nod and sulute him and walk off to find Private Jackson.
