Part 40

As Jungkook waited for taehyung, he paced back and forth. Glancing at his watch ever so often and strangely, caressing his moon mecklace a bit too much.

He walked outside, looking around for a while, he spotted his lover helping an old lady pick up her stuffs on the ground.

He smiled.

Taehyung who was on her way to her lover saw an old lady tripping and getting her things scattered around. So like a kind hearted person that she is, she helps her.

The lady blesses her with a smile and Taehyung heartily accepts his.

But when she turns around to walk, something hits her foot.

She frowns, looking down at it to find a ball of thread. Red string.

She picks it up, rolling it towards the string which seemed to be stuck somewhere.

As she rolled it whike stepoing forward, there stood jungkook, holding its edge.

He held the string while she rolled it into the ball.

Seeing eachother, a small immediately gets plastered on both their faces.

And when they finally finish the roll, "you did that on purpose?" Taehyung asks as she held the ball of thread.

"I wanted to make it romantic" jungkook says before wrapping his arns around her waist, kissing her passionately.

As they retreat, they rest their head against eachother,"Do you trust me?"

"With my whole existence."

The simple words did more than just soithinh their hearts.

The simple words of trust kept deepening their bond, creating a strong knot.

Jungkook stamds straight, cupping her cheeks,"I have something for you" he says softly.

"What?" She asks.

Jungkook holds her hands instead, intertwining their hands together,"come" he leads them into his company, to the lobby.

And as soon as they enter, the lights goes off. Taehyung frowns at that but soon gets awestruck when the walls suddenly cast shadows of stars.

The glowing small marbles and the shadows of stary completely awed her. And so, tae took her time looking all around.

When she was done, ready to thank him for the beautiful surprise, Taehyung turned to find Jungkook on one knee.

“It wasn’t done properly before,” Jungkook began, his voice steady but filled with emotion. “Our marriage was supposed to be just a contract, but everything changed. I used to hate you more than anything… but now, I love you more than I love myself.”

He took a deep breath, eyes soft and sincere. “So, I’m asking you to embrace all of my flaws and imperfections… and be mine forever. Will you marry me?”

Tears smeared down her eyes when taehyung heard him. Every word ringing like the sound of heavens.

"Yes" with an unsteady voice, she replied while Jungkook put the ring on her finger. And immediately, he was pulled onto a tight hug.

"Yes. I love you, Jungkook."

As the night flew by, they found themselve in the same cabin cottage from months ago.

One where taehyung had followed jungkook to, out of suspicion.

"This is my second time here" Taehyung says as she lays freely beside her fiance on the soft matress.

Jungkook, who had one of his arm under taehyung's head, and another over her waist spoke,"The first time was chaotic enough" he chuckles while taehyung fiddles with his hoodie.
