-SAMEER'S POV-
"Bilkul na badla! Mera beta!" My mom said patting my shoulder with sparkle in her eyes
(Hasn't changed at all! My son)
"Kabhi nhi badlunga ma! Aap or ek or Paratha laiye!" I said eating my food as my mom leaves to kitchen to bring me Paratha
(I won't ever change mother! And bring me another Paratha!)
I brought my attention back to eating until I heard a sudden scream, I left my food and ran following the voice it brought me outside
Only to see, Britishers taking our people's pets for their meals, I just stood like everyone else there watching the scene unfolds knowing I can't do anything about it..yet
The woman screams as the Britishers takes her cows without any permission, in India cows are really respected beefs are even banned in some places
I watched torture with anger in my eyes, I had always hated Britishers.. nothing has changed
Growing up I've seen these Britishers around us, mistreating us I always said when I'll grow up I'll change it
I'm have grown, now what? I had left to foreign for my studies im now a docter I just arrived a day ago
I'm thankful that my parents are wealthy and humble, they knows the value of education only because of them I'm here
all I wish for now is to just have a good conversation with my dad, I never really had a good dad-son relationship with him

THE NEXT DAY
"Maa..mein jaa raha hu-" I said to my mother, I founded her getting ready
(Mother..Im leaving)
"Thika- dhyan se jaana bachha!" My mother replied to me getting her pallu
(Okay- be careful child)
"Aap kahi Jaa Rahi ho?" I asked leaning against a doorframe
(Are you going somewhere?)
"Haan..Jis ladki se kal yeh angrez bura vyavhar kar ke Gaye Hain na- usi se hi mil ne Jaa Rahi hu" my mother said
