The silence inside the mansion was deafening, pressing down on Jungkook as she moved through the dark hallways. She was alone, or at least, that’s what she told herself each night. But in truth, she never felt truly alone.

Not since she met him.

Taehyung’s presence was everywhere. She felt it in the cold breeze that slipped through the cracks in the windows, in the way her skin prickled when she thought of him. His teasing smile, the way his eyes lingered on her too long—it unnerved her, sent a chill down her spine. There was something in the way he watched her, like a predator waiting for its moment.

Jungkook couldn’t explain why she was so afraid. He hadn’t done anything to hurt her, not really. But there was something about him... something she couldn’t understand. His behavior was unpredictable, his teasing crossing lines that made her heart race in fear, not excitement.

She wanted to leave the mansion, to escape the suffocating tension that hung between them. But she was trapped here, living alone in this cold, decaying house. And Taehyung? He was always there, just outside, watching, waiting.

Every knock on the door, every shadow passing by the windows—she wondered if it was him, coming closer, claiming more of her space. Jungkook didn’t know what he wanted from her, but deep down, she feared the answer.
