We got up from the underground base, the weight of the scene before us pressing down. Bodies lay scattered across the floor. I stare remembering how it was this once-secure place. Now it's just chaos and destruction.
Fuzzy sighed, "Teigan, we have to hurry I have a feeling they're coming soon." Grasping Teigan's hand tightly and ran. "We need to find a new base before dark." As they moved deeper into the forest, a loud rumble echoed through the forest. Teigan's breath caught in their throat. "Did you hear that?"
Fuzzy nodded, urgency clear on their face. "We need to move faster. They could be here any minute," they said, quickening their pace as they rushed through the forest.
Reaching a abandoned house, they paused, scanning for anything that could help. The room was basically collapsing, Teigan grabbed energy bars, a flashlight, and a first-aid kit that they found on a shelf.
Fuzzy's eyes darted to the exit. "Let's grab it and go. We cannot wait much longer the skibidis could come at any minute"
As they walked outside. Teigan glanced back one last time at the chaos they were leaving behind. "We have to hurry and find a base now" Fuzzy groaned. "Or they'll find us."
Teigan nodded, "Let's go to the park we used to go to. There's an abandoned facility nearby it might still be intact if were lucky because theres no way I'm staying out here."
"Let's check it out then" Fuzzy whispered her voice steady. They opened the door it. was suprisingly intact and good looking.. for now. "Wow." Fuzzy said, stepping inside. "This will work I guess." murmured fuzzy.
Teigan's eyes darted around, the potential for makeshift barricades and hiding spots. "Here theres some wood in this corner." Teigan gave Fuzzy the boards. "You want me to do it? Oh no, I am not telling you stay with me if you're making me do everything." Fuzzy groaned annoyed.
"Whatever." Teigan rolls their eyes at fuzzy, Fuzzy rolled their eyes but grabbing the boards. "Fine! But I swear, if this all falls apart, you're taking the blame." a few miuntes later they finished boarding stuff.
"Okay?" Teigan said, rolling their eyes at Fuzzy. "Wait do you hear that it sounds like someones trying to get in-.."
