"What happened Maahira ? Why are you crying ?" He said beside her and asked in concern but she kept crying instead of replying. Her tears were stabbing his heart. As if someone was clutching his heart squeezing it harshly. He took out his water bottle and passed it to her. Without a question she took and gulped down the water. She wiped her tears harshly when he forwarded a handkerchief to her. She looked him with her teary orbs and his heart thumped loudly. Her eyes were holding something , courage , pain and determination. He never saw such rage in someone's eyes , this was the first he was staring deep into someone's soul. He wiped her tears with the hanky and said , "Is there anything you can share with me ?" Once again tears rolled down from her eyes and she said , "Today is my parents death anniversary. This was the same day when I lost them. They went to my maternal home for a wedding while I was staying with me grandmother at home. They were talking to me on the phone when...when...their car collided with a truck and they....." She hiccuped and drank the water speaking further , "That day , I just didn't lost my parents , that day I got see the true colours of everyone around. After my parents died , everything shattered. Every relative and even the family members left us to die. No one came to see us. Me and dadi kept mourning on their death , when only Maithili's family helped us."

He could feel her pain , it must be so painful for her to lose her parents and that too at so young age and her relatives....they left them to die. He knew this , that people can stoop this much low. He himself despises his relatives and some of his family members because of their behaviours. "This world is full of cruel and selfish people. No one cares for your feelings, they only cares for their own motives. But still everyone should be like you and your dadi. Who stood like a rock in this storm. You both are so courageous Maahira and I can bet on it that your parents must have been very brave. One day you will achieve everything in your life and then those relatives faces will be shock." He said trying to light her mood and she smiled. Before he could move , she stopped him , "Armaan , I didn't get one thing....why I shared all this with you ?" Her wet eyes filled with confusion were looking so cute that she wanted to playfully pull her cheeks but he reminded himself of his boundaries and said softly , "Not everything has a reason. Even I don't know why your tears affected me..." He trailed off and went from there leaving her alone in confusion.

"Ye kya bol gaya ?" She thought in confusion. While he just said this to divert her mind and he succeeded. She also left towards auditorium for the competition. In the auditorium the debate was going on , while Armaan and Maahira was looking the certificates and prizes which will be distributed at the end. Maahira excused herself for washroom. When she came back , she heard Armaan's faint voice. He was talking to Raghav. Well it is not right to eavesdrop but her curiosity overpowered her manners and she stood there to listen their talks. "These girls are always dramatic brother. You won't understand. They just know how to play victim card , cry and make fake stories to have attention from boys. In reality they have no grief in their lives. I just hate these types of girls. We should just ignore them and leave them on their condition. Because they are not worth it..." Armaan's words left her stunned. Tears pooled up in her eyes. He just said all this and there he was consoling. Does he think that she was faking ? By now Raghav walked out leaving him alone.

She couldn't control herself and marched towards him , she angrily turned him and said , "You are so disgusting Armaan!!! There you were saying consoling me like a well wisher and now badmouthing me behind my back. Saying that I was playing victim card. How could you think so low of me ? This is so bad. Is this you learnt ?"

He cut off her angrily and said , "Shut up !! Just shut up!! Don't you dare question me. Do you even know what are you talking about ? Dimag toh theek hai tumhara ?"
