Hey guys! Sorry for the late update, school has been kicking my ass so much :)
Anywayyy, here is a chapter because I'm like dying from being sick, hopefully I'll get another one out!!
DRACO MALFOY POV
"Duel."
Ropes of green magic shoot out of Maeve's head to Harry as he spills out a defensive spell. Reaching down, I grab Blaise's hand, shifting him behind me ever so slightly as I stare at our girl with wide eyes.
It makes sense. For the most part at least.
The door, her nervousness, staying after class, running away. Her clothes last night. The small amount of details that had me questioning her was finally making sense. Another flash of magic shoots from Maeve's outstretched arms, her face pale as her entire body shakes.
"Malfoy," looking to my side, I turn towards Professor Lupin.
"Professor," I nod my head, eyes shifting towards Maeve before shifting back to him. It makes sense as well. They have the same eyes, the same smile. "I didn't-." I don't even know what to say to him.
"She didn't want people to know," he says, shifting to look back towards his daughter. I do the same. Without looking at me, he continues, "you hurt her Malfoy. And I'll make your life fucking hell. Do you understand me?"
"I understand."
"Remus!" Harry shouts, my gaze flickers to him, eyes going wide as I see blood starting to run down his nose.
Moving instantly, Professor Remus runs to him, flicking his own wand towards a magic that was headed his way. My focus goes back to Maeve, her face now red instead of pale. Her hair everywhere, like it hasn't been brushed for days. She isn't shaking anymore either. As she shouts her name, she starts to shake, her face going in and out of focus.
Before I know what I'm doing, I'm running towards her, Blaise right behind me. I don't even know it until we're both on the ground, but I slam into Maeve, sending us slamming into the grass. Shifting off her, I hold her head, watching as her face continues going in and out.
"Professor!" I shout, holding her head in my head as Blaise kneels down, his face pale now as he watches her. I need to get to him.
"I got her," Professor says as he takes her head. Shuffling over, I pull Blaise into me, sitting fully down on the grass as I cradle his head in my chest. A couple seconds later, Maeve's entire body goes still, her face now in focus, her chest barely rising and falling.
"We need to get her into her room," Professor Remus says, already heading towards her. Getting up, I drag Blaise up with me. Right as he starts to stand by himself, I see Harry starting to fall. Running past Blaise, I grab Harry as he is about to hit the ground. Dragging him up against me, I turn back towards Blaise as he takes the other side of Harry.
"Take him to Madam Pomfrey," Remus tells us, "I'm going to take her to her room, I'll go to him after."
Working together, we take a half conscious Harry to Madam Pomfrey, laying him down on a stretcher. Looking up at Blaise, I give him a small smile, "let's go." Grabbing his hand, we walk out, heading back towards the Slytherin Corridor.
As we walk in the door, I stop when I see Professor Lupin heads down the stairs, the common room completely empty. "Boys," he nods his head. "She's awake and eating some snacks, I'm sure she wants to talk to you. Malfoy, may I have a word with you."
