Months passed in a flurry of assignments, laughter, and shared moments. Kris thrived in her studies, motivated by the love and support she received from Finn. The day of her graduation arrived, bright and warm, filled with a sense of accomplishment that resonated through the air.

Kris stood among her classmates, her graduation gown billowing lightly in the breeze, a beautiful sight accented by the honors cords draped around her neck. She glanced around, spotting Finn in the crowd, a proud smile lighting up their face. Finn was her rock, her partner through everything, and knowing they would be there to celebrate her achievement filled her with joy.

As the ceremony progressed, Kris listened to the speeches, her heart racing with excitement and anticipation. When her name was finally called, she walked across the stage, the applause of family, friends, and classmates echoing around her. Finn cheered the loudest, their voice cutting through the noise, and Kris couldn't help but smile as she accepted her diploma.

With her degree in hand, she turned to face the audience, searching for Finn's eyes. When she found them, she felt a swell of love and pride for everything they had built together. Finn beamed back at her, their admiration palpable, and in that moment, she knew she wouldn't trade what they had for anything in the world.

After the ceremony, a celebration awaited them at home. Friends and family gathered in their cozy house, filled with laughter and congratulations. Kris felt like she was floating, surrounded by love and support, but she kept glancing at Finn, whose expression was a mix of pride and something else—something deeper.

As the party wound down, Kris and Finn stepped outside for a breath of fresh air. The evening sky was painted with shades of pink and orange, and a soft breeze rustled the leaves around them.

"I'm so proud of you," Finn said, their voice warm and sincere. "You've worked so hard for this, and you deserve every bit of recognition."

Kris smiled, her heart fluttering at the sound of Finn's voice. "I couldn't have done it without you cheering me on every step of the way."

Finn stepped closer, their gaze serious yet filled with love. "I meant what I said back when we were in school together. You inspire me, Kris. Watching you grow and achieve your dreams has been one of the greatest joys of my life."

Kris felt a thrill of happiness at Finn's words, their connection deeper than ever. "I'm just getting started, you know?"

"I know," Finn replied softly, a smile dancing on their lips. "And I can't wait to see what you do next."

Months turned into a year, and life continued to flourish for Kris and Finn. Their bond deepened as they navigated new experiences together, from career changes to personal growth. Finn often spoke about the future, hinting at dreams of traveling, living in new places, and building a life together, but Kris could sense there was something more Finn was waiting for—a moment they had both anticipated.

One warm summer evening, Finn planned a special surprise for Kris. They had set up a picnic in their backyard, under a canopy of twinkling lights strung between the trees. A checkered blanket spread out on the grass was laden with Kris's favorite foods, and candles flickered softly in the gentle breeze.

As Kris stepped outside, her heart skipped a beat at the sight. "Finn, this is beautiful!" she exclaimed, taking in the romantic setting.

Finn smiled, a hint of nervous excitement shimmering in their eyes. "I wanted to celebrate you and everything you've accomplished. You deserve it."

They sat down on the blanket, laughter and soft conversation filling the air as they enjoyed their meal. As the sun began to set, painting the sky in brilliant colors, Kris noticed Finn growing a bit more serious.
