      The whole period we were throwing questions out.

      "If y'all don't feel comfortable then I'm not forcing you to answer, but who here falls under the trans umbrella?" Lilieana asked.

      A few people raised their hands.

      Most of the group looked weirdly as Aiden and he raised his.

      "Ok, I'm sorry, but I've got to ask you this before it bugs me too much," Myra said as she pointed at Aiden. "Why did you raise your hand?"

      "I didn't know if being trans counted so I raised it." Aiden said, his smile faltering a little.

      They all looked at each other before back at him. Surprised, to say the least.

      "You're trans?" Ari asked, intrigued by what he was telling us.

      "... Yes." Aiden said in a questioning tone.

      "Why did you say it like that?" Ashlyn asked.

      "I'm.. confused? Lost? I don't know." Aiden said.

      Ben began to write something.

      'He is, he just forgot.'

      'non italic words.' = Ben's writing it a singular person whispering

      "How?" Barron asked.

      Then Ben wrote something, again. This time it took longer.

      'Idk. Aiden's a weird kid. He barely knows himself so he relies on me most of the time to answer for him so he doesn't fuck up when speaking to people. He's scared of people but forces himself to talk to others to try to get them to like him and so he has someone else, besides family, to love him.'

      Then Ben wrote something else.

      'Aiden wants y'all to be his friend. He finds y'all interesting.'

      "But.. I look weird because of my face scar?" Lilieana said.

      "Exactly, he likes weird. His eyes lit up when he saw you up there." I said as I looked at Lilieana.

      Lili looked at me, confused as I spoke about Aiden.

      It's true.

      His eyes did that.

      "Aiden looked at me like that as I cried over my ex boyfriend using me. His eyes always sparkle when he finds someone interesting." I explained. "He's a good listener too."

      "You were crying over a boy?" Ivory asked. "Wait.. when was this?"

      "It wasn't my best moment. It was at the airport after we both got off our plane." I said, awkwardly smiling. "About a week ago."

      Taylor looked intrigued.

      "What else?" She asked.

      "Nothing. He and Ben left. Like my parents." I said, still smiling.

      I saw everyone have a surprised look on their face.

      "Ooh. Wrong group of friends." I said.

      Then Aiden began laughing. Tyler looked at him in disgust as Aiden laughed.

      "That's not funny." Tyler said.

      Aiden, almost immediately, stopped laughing and smiling.

      "Sorry." Was all Aiden could manage.

      "It's fine if you laughed. I don't mind it at all." I said in a reassuring tone.

      But he was still dull.

      As the bell rang, switching us to Empower which was everyone's second period, I noticed me and Riley were going the same way.

      "Great, this retard." He mumbled as we walked.

      "That was rude." I said, my eyes fixated on what's in front of us.

      "What? Telling him that laughing at you not having parents isn't funny?" Tyler asked.

      "He wasn't laughing at that. He was laughing at the other thing I said." I mumbled as I rolled my eyes.

      "Oh." Tyler said as he looked down.

      'Look at that freak next to Tyler!' 'I wish I was the one next to Tyler.' 'She should kill herself.' 'I hope she dies, she shouldn't be next to Tyler. It'll ruin his reputation.' 'Are y'all calling it a she because it's trans?' 'Yeah, and he's a faggot.' 'Smart, I can't believe that they would let her into the building, especially because she likes men.' 'I've heard she's had a relapse already, maybe she'll be an easy target.'

      I guess I should've been expecting that. I am weird after all.

      I heard them laughing at me. Tormenting me.

      "Ignore them." Tyler said as he narrowed his eyes.

      "I promise, I will." I said.
