hey guys! feel free to comment whenever you want!

I woke up and yawned. I peeked at my clock. Ugh, it was 7:10 am. As tired as I was, I couldn't skip school.

"Oh no." I thought. I realized that it was the first day of school.

I quickly changed into my school uniform, an ugly brown sweatshirt with a burnt umber-colored beret. Couldn't they change the uniform? Then, I started walking downstairs to eat breakfast.

"Hey, that's not fair! MOMMY! She took my unicorn!" Alice, my youngest sister, screamed. I saw my younger sister, Anna, tug the unicorn Alice held. I rolled my eyes.

"Good morning, Mom," I said, walking to the diner table.

"You have no school today, my two favorite daughters," my mom said, hugging Alice and Anna. I felt fiery in my lungs as I heard those words I dreaded. My mom sat back in her chair. She looked at a newspaper, adjusted her glasses, and fiercely looked at me.

"But you. Walk to school. No breakfast for you."

I made a long face and headed for my backpack. "Bye, Mom," I said.

I opened the door and walked to school.

I entered the hallway and had trouble finding my classroom.

"Miss, do you need help?" the janitor said.

"Yes, please, I am looking for Room 306," I replied.

"Upstairs, turn to your left and walk straight for about 15 seconds."

"Thanks."

The janitor nodded.

As I entered the classroom, I felt stares.

I quietly sat down in my chair.

"Excuse me, Miss, please introduce yourself and tell us where you are from in the classroom." The teacher said she had curly wheat-blonde hair. She looked at me fiercely.

"Hi. Um, my n-n-ame is L-l-una. I'm f-f-rom-" I said in a shaky voice, and I saw a teenager with bright blonde hair and blue eyes.

"Ohhhhh... I'm from Japan!!!!" He answered me in a baby voice.

"That's enough, Kyle!" The teacher said in a booming voice, "Go to the principal's office. Right now."

"Okay, I didn't do anything wrong," he whispered.

After that, my classmates completed our morning work.

The teacher clapped her hands and caught everyone's attention. "Hello, my name is Mrs. Smith. I will be your teacher from now on to the end of the school year. Today is a half day, and school ends at 12:35. We are learning Math, and the first lesson is about angels in Geometry."

I opened the door and started walking upstairs.

"No greetings? Respect your mother." I heard a voice call out from behind my back.

I turned back and said, "Oh, sorry, Mom. I was just tired today at school."

She rolled her eyes.

I went inside my room and started to unpack. I pulled out my first homework and began writing the answers. But as I wrote down something, I heard someone call from downstairs.

"Dinner's ready, Luna."

I looked at my clock. I looked at my clock. "Seriously? Dinner at 8:30 pm?" Of course, I knew she had dinner for Dad and my sisters first. She has always served me the leftovers. I got sad once, and I started to cry. They beat me for my punishment of "disrespecting" them. I ignored Mom and did my homework. Three hours passed, and I inserted the last sentence on my phone. I was relieved and flopped on my bed. I pulled my covers. My eyes fluttered and I began to lose consciousness.
