The start.

"shoto? when are you gonna get a girlfriend?"
"shoto, are you still single man?"
"Shoto-"

these are the words shoto todoroki keeps hearing from both his family and friends, its starting to annoy him but he attempts to keep his cool and reply to their never ending questions. but they where right, he still didn't have a girlfriend, but that was fine wasn't it? he was only a first year, besides its not like he already wasted all his teenage years.


why did they have to be SO persistent, apparently, he wasn't alone.

6PM, common room.

"katsuki, I overheard a phone call with your mom, has she been asking about if you'll get a girlfriend too?" shoto asked the spiky haired blonde. "none of your business." the blonde replied scrolling through his phone, "its the same for me, if that helps." shoto reveals putting a hand on the blondes shoulder reluctantly. "cool. and get off me icy hot." bakugou says shoving his hand away.


shoto just stands there watching him scroll on social media not paying attention to anything really before speaking, "fake date me." shoto says blankly. 

now this catches bakugou by surprise, what the fuck was the idiot talking about now? "What the hell are you rambling on about now you candy cane." the explosive teen asked the other. 

"well, they wont stop bothering us until we get a partner right? so we can just help eachother out this once." shouto suggested blinking, "tch. as if I'd ever fake date you, just leave me be icy hot." bakugou said standing up and walking to his dorm shoving shouto lightly in the proccess.

shouto sighed and walked to his own respective dorm annoyed slightly, he'll try again tomorrow. or he'll need to find another way to get rid of these annoying naggings.

Monday, 7 AM, class 1-A, first period.

shouto wasn't exactly paying attention to the lecture, most things he already knew. so why relearn them? he looked at the explosive teen across the room, he still was being nagged about still being single, yet he didn't know the first thing about romance. He thought maybe bakugou knew more than him, so he was a perfect fake boyfriend, right?


shouto was snapped out his fantasies by the bell, he got up and waited for bakugou to start getting up too, he walked over and spoke, "bakugou, want to get lunch with me?" he asked.

"what." bakugou asked confused, where did this come from? "would you, like to get lunch, with me?" shoto repeated pointing to himself with a tilt of his head, "tch. why would i wanna get lunch with you." bakugou asked pushing him out the way slightly and walking away before shoto called out running after him, "wait! katsuki!" he called out catching up to the explosive teen, in a attempt to convince him.


"leave me alone icy hot." bakugou says continuing to walk away annoyed, "Katsuki! please, atleast, give fake dating me a chance." shoto suggested grabbing bakugous arm, "Don't touch me. and get your head out the clouds icy hot." bakugou says shoving him away and walking away.

shoto stood in the crowded hallway slightly hurt, why did it hurt? he thought, he surely didn't have any feelings for bakugou, but rejection still hurts he supposed.

bakugou walked through the halls of the school before seeing that his phone was ringing, he went into a secluded place and picked the call up, "what." he asked pissed.

"You damn brat. Show some respect for your mother." His mother replied over the phone, equally mad with the slight "calm down hun."'s from his father in the background, "tch. whaddya want old hag." bakugou asked before his mother replied, "well, one of your friends reached out from U.A today, he said how almost your whole friend group was already in a relationship, but your still single, why is that?" his mother asked, "because I'm focused on being a hero, love is stupid." bakugou replied annoyed at this conversation. 

"well, I suppose that's fine, but please take some time for yourself, even if your a brat sometimes, no rush, but make sure you pay attention to yourself." his mother added the smile practically present in her voice, "yeah yeah, well I gotta go." bakugou said hanging up cutting his mother off, "damn old hag." katsuki muttered walking to the lunchroom, this wasn't the first time he had to brush people off about relationships, what's with that anyways?

has a new infection been going around making people all lovey-dovey, it makes no sense. bakugou just sat down on a empty booth, he didn't feel like sitting with anyone right now, too much was on his mind. 

'is something wrong with peoples head or something. everyone's practically been obsessed with the subject of love.' bakugou thought, it was starting to annoy him, so he couldn't lie, the thought to take up todorokis offer to get rid of this thing and just say they broke up on mutual terms was kinda tempting.

but yet again he was interuppted with someone sitting right next to him, "can your nerd ass move-" bakugou said before opening his eyes slightly shocked, shouto was sitting next to him and holding a fork with a strawberry up for him, "take it." shoto said, "N-No what?! dude get away what are you doing?!" bakugou asked or yelled. scooting away from the other teen, "I'm showing you that I can be a convincing fake boyfriend, so you'll take my offer up." shoto explained like if that was the most normal thing ever.

"dude I'm not taking up that offer?!" bakugou said, though with how annoyed it was getting him, he really did want to take it, so it'd make shoto shut up about this stupid fake dating nonsense and so people would stop nagging him about the whole dating situation, besides they could just say they broke up on mutual terms and will take a break from dating for awhile. so where was the harm.

"do, you need more convincing? I can hold your hand." shoto said still holding the strawberry up with the fork before taking bakugous hand which was in his pants pockets in his own, "what-NO. don't touch me-" bakugou said though he couldn't stop a slight redness creep up his face.

"please, Katsuki, it'll be beneficial for us both, we can always break up. besides it'd be nice to have each others company." shoto said rubbing bakugous hand slightly. "icy hot what do you not understand by NO." katsuki asked annoyed, though he didn't pull his hand away.

"please, Katsuki." shoto said squeezing his hand slightly, bakugou sighed and thought for a moment before answering, "fine you big sap." he said annoyed, "just know this isn't anything real okay?! don't get attached or something." bakugou said annoyed, while shoto practically lit up though he didn't show it much, "right. thank you." he said smiling softly.

"yeah yeah." bakugou said looking away annoyed while shoto and him continued talking for the rest of the lunch period, surprisingly they couldn't run out of topics and even shared some laughs about things.


though, they didn't know what they had exactly just started, something that was meant to be 'fake' and 'temporary' will end up becoming so much more.
