CHAPTER 16

Arjun's Room,

After refreshed, both sat on the bed with their laptops.. he's checking a case file, while she's managing invoices..

They heard a loud thunder, she jerked and dropped the laptop on the bed and closed her ears with hands and muttered "Shiva..Shiva" with closed eyes..

He gazed at her and then gazed at the balcony, it's started to rain.. he quickly closed balcony door and windows..closed the curtains also..

While he returned to the bed, the lights went off making her panic.. darkness engulfed the room leaving only the faint glow of their screens..

While he approaching the bed, she couldd hear only his footsteps, that triggered her past.. She started to tremble..

Sam: "Noo.. en..enk..enkitta.. var..varaatha.. pl..please.." she trembled more..

He could see her shivering.. he knew that she's afraid of darkness but her words made his heart ache.. he approached her and tried to touch her..

She swatted his hands and got down..he held her hands to prevent her from falling due to her sudden act.. she pushed him and went aside..

Arjun: "Maa.. naan thaan ma.."

Sam: "Pl..please en..enna vitru.. en..kitta varrr..varaatha.. appa please pa.. vida sollunga pa.." she pleaded clasping her hands..

She sobbed and pleaded.. her back dashed on the wall and she stood there and pleaded.. seeing her vulnerable state he shed tears..

She placed her clasped hands on her face and covered her face and sobbed.. still pleading with whimper.. and asking her dad to prevent him (The one who try to near her)

Arjun don't know what to do, but he knew that he can't leave her like this... she leaned to the wall and slide down and sat.. held her knees to her chest.. her sense is not in this room.. but in another room, where she'll be locked inside with darkness.. and she could only hear footsteps approaching her..

Experiencing similar in this room, her memory got triggered and she behaved abnormally.. he neared her with slow steps with heavy heart.. he bend and stood on his knees..

Sam: "En..kitta varatha please.. bayama iruku.. please...vitru.. please.."

Managed to say with her sobs and shaky voice..

Arjun: "Maaa...🥺"

If she murmured something due to her nightmares he could hug her and console her.. but now, this darkness made her to triggered her memory.. he's not sure that, what she went through..

Sam: "p..pl..pleas.please..."

Arjun: "Naan engayum poga maaten ma...please enna paaru.. naan arjun, inga vera yaarum illa ma.. yaarum unna ethum panna maataanga ma.. please maa enna paaru"

Said without touching her.. his eyes shedding tears.. with shaky voice and trembling body, she said,

Sam: "illa..illa.. avan..avan in..inga thaan irukaan.. he'll.. he'll ttt..tou..touchh me...enku...bayama irukk... pl.please...vena..venanu sollunga..please.. I'll.. nn..never..repeat.. pl..plea..please..."

Hearing her his heart beat raced, without any choice he forcefully released her face from her hands and cupped her tear-strained cheeks.. her body stiffened in fear.. suddenly the lights came by..

She's shivering and shutting her eyes tight..he wiped her fresh tears which's flowing now..

Arjun: "Maa.. enna parru ma.. please kanna thora.. Maaa... inga naan mattum thaan da iruken.."

She started to open her eyes.. it's red and puffy..he was soo close to her.. still she's shivering, but it's reduced..

Arjun: "See.. naan mattum thaan iruken.. nee enkooda irukka ma.. No one will hurt you, when you're with me.. do you trust me??"

He caressed her cheeks and asked in soft tone..  his eyes are glossy.. she slowly came to reality and examined the place and his eyes, which conveyed genuineness..

Arjun: "Innum bayama irukka?? naan unna ethana panni-

Hurt was evident in his voice.. she placed her trembling cold hand on his lips and nodded no.. he pulled her to his chest and hugged her tightly.. even though she stiffened to his touch and sudden hug.. she felt safe in his arms..

Arjun: "Hug me ma.." he whispered in her ears..

She too placed her hand on his back and hugged him gently..

Arjun: "Tightly.." again he whispered while tightened his grip..

She too hugged him tightly.. she placed her face in his chest.. she could hear his racing heart beat..for her it was her 1st ever hug...he was the one.. she felt the warmth in his arms..

Arjun: "You're safe.. naan iruken ma.." rubbed her back..

Now both of them are hugging eachother tightly..both don't have the idea to leave them.. he patted her back and pulled back from the hug..

Again he cupped her cheeks and wiped off her wetness on the cheeks.. he stood up and made her stand up, held her shoulder and both reached bed.. he made her sit on the bed and knelt down and held her hands..

Arjun: "Unakk enna thonutho pesu ma.. enna venalum nee enkitta sollu.. I'll never judge you da.. naan eppovum unkooda irupen.." he kissed her back balm she gulped..

Sam: "Enkku bayama iruku.."

That's the only word she uttered

Arjun: "Naan unkooda iruken okay??"

She nodded and gazed down.. she hesitated to hug him.. understanding her need he sat on the bed and hugged her.. she quickly threw her hands around his neck and snuggled into his chest.. hearing his heart beat made her feel peaceful...

Realizing her uncomfortable position, he lifted her and placed her on his lap..he held her back and patted her to calm her.. after sometimes she became normal..

Sam: "I need to sleep..Peacefully..atleast today.." she mumbled in his chest..

He smiled and kissed top of her head and made her look at him.. she gazed at him with a frown..

Arjun: "Thoongalam..but before that you should gulp your medicines, for that you need to eat, for that i need to cook"  she widened her eyes to hear his list

He chuckled and dashed his head with hers and kissed her forehead... she closed her eyes and felt the moment..it's her 1st kiss.. a lone tear escaped.. he was quick enough to capture the drop..

Arjun: "Poittu samaikalama??"

Sam: "Are you hungry??"

Arjun: "Enkku pasi illa ma.. nee tablets pottukanum la.. athukku saapd-

Sam: "Haiyyoo.. it's enough arjunnnnn" whined and snuggled into him

Sam: "I feel the warmth.. enkku ippo ithu thaan venum.. please.."

Arjun: "Appo table-

Sam: "i don't need it..please.."

she hugged him tightly and he too hugged her rocked her..he extended his hand, took her laptop and off-ed.. he took his laptop and switched it off..

Arjun: "Appo thoongalaama??"

She hmmed and he fell backwards.. she's on top of him.. both of them are in hugging position...
