A Human Mission

"Soundwave, I have a new mission for you" Lord Megatron states, turning to face the Decepticon TIC. A single brief nod is the only response given. "You are to aquanite yourself with the Autobots human pets to gather information about them and learn the location of the Autobot base. Knockout has developed something to help with this" another nod is followed by the silent Con striding towards the medical bay where the Decepticon medic should be waiting. A short while later Soundwave arrived in front of the med-bay. 'Will everything be alright soundwave' Lazerbeak asked across the bond. Pausing to contemplate the answer. He replied 'Everything will be fine. There is no cause for concern.' A wave of reassurance was sent from Soundwave's side of the bond. Soothed at least for the moment Lazerbeak settled into a calm quiet.

Dark metal doors slid open to reveal a cherry red cybertronian waiting with arms crossed . "Ah, Soundwave. Just the bot I needed to see. Here to get the holoform installed." 'Holoform? Is that the thing Lord Megatron mentioned Knockout had made for the mission' Lazerbeak questioned. 'That is the most likely scenario. Depending on the function of the holoform it would enable me to familiarize myself with the human children.' He nodded to answer the medical officer's question. "Alright then I'll need to induce stasis in order to install the holoform projector. This will ensure that the holoform is synced up with your processor. This won't have any effect on Lazerbeak so he won't be able to join you on whatever mission requires the holoform." There is no response. Knockout gestured towards a berth. Lazerbeak releases his grip on Soundwaves chassis before perching on a storage cabinet. The silent con the proceeds to lie down on the berth in order to get this over with. 'If he hurts you can I eat his spark?' Lazerbeak asks, protectiveness emanating from his tone. 'That should not be necessary. However, if it will reassure you. Alright.' was the last thing said before soundwave powered down for the installation of the holoform projector.

Beneath the visor two optics open looking at the med bay ceiling. 'Are you alright?' Lazerbeak asks across the bond. Soundwave's head turns to look at the concerned minicon then proceeds to nod. He then turns to knockout to learn how the operation went and how the holoform should work. At least before doing his own research on the holoforms and humans. "The installation of the holoform projector went smoothly. Any discomfort?" Knockout says before getting a brief head shake from the TIC. "Basic rundown of the holoform projectors capabilities is that it can project a solid three-dimensional hologram that will convincingly pass as human. While your cybertronian body will remain as your consciousness will transfer to the holoform. You should still be able access your full range of abilities although it might be significantly harder to for example open a ground bridge remotely." the bright red automobile explains. "Oh, Lord Megatron asked for you to report directly to him once you were awake." Soundwave nodded before standing. Allowing Lazerbeak to return to his normal resting place on Soundwave's torso. Another nod and he turned to walk back to the bridge where Megatron was most likely waiting. 'I'm glad you're alright. I... I worried that I would lose you too.' Lazerbeak said across the bond. Relief pouring from the minicon. 'You will not lose me Lazerbeak. I would fight as hard as I could to stay with you.' Soundwave declares as if stating a fact.

By the time the pair got to the bridge Lazerbeak was calm and reassured that Soundwave would be careful while on the mission. "Soundwave. I assume the procedure went well. You are to start your mission immediately." Lord Megatron informed the TIC. The silent con then turned and began heading to his berthroom. 'Where are we going?' Lazerbeak questioned. 'Berthroom for a defensible position and privacy. I will also have to quickly learn how to activate the holoform and possibly design the appearance.' Was Soundwave's answer. 'How do you plan on communicating with the human sparklings? I highly doubt you will break your vow of silence just to make communicating easier for them.' Soundwave paused momentarily in front of the door to his room to consider that particular dilemma. 'Humans have methods of nonverbal communication. I will download the information I need. This will ensure that I don't break my vow' Soundwave finally answered after entering his room and sealing the door. Arachnid won't be able to get in without triggering an internal alarm. After setting up the safety measures Soundwave walked over to the computer console in his quarters to get the information necessary for the mission. Forgetting to research human names and customs.

Lazerbeak once more released his grip on Soundwave's torso. Flying up to his own elevated berth glancing at the empty one next to his. 'I miss them as well, little one.' Soundwave said his thoughts drifted to those that should be with them, as he went to lie down. 'If you do anything stupid, I will rip your optics out and shove them down your intake. I care about you buckethead... If you joined them in the All Spark I would join you as soon as I could.' Lazerbeak growled across the bond. Fear, anger, and grief cloud the minicon's side of the bond. 'Don't hurt yourself for my sake... Please just... just don't. I know that you are worried about this new mission. I am unlikely to be met with physical harm however that does not mean I will be careless. I'm not Starscream.' Was the murmured reply. Soundwave then activated the holoform projector revealing a human male that looked around twenty-one years of age. Hair an incredible dark purple, seeming almost black. Pale amethyst purple eyes with the left one almost concealed by warped and discolored skin. A twisted and distorted star surrounds the scared eye. The Decepticon turned human was dressed in a dark purple-shirt, with a light-weight black coat that fell to his knees, black jeans and navy blue sneakers. 

'Considering the age of the human children, a younger appearance would be more practical. Alongside something to conceal your eyes' natural color.' Lazerbeak remarked intrigued by the new appearance of his carrier. 'That is a good point Little One, any potential solutions that you can think of.'  Soundwave signed before realizing that he would have to take on an alias in order for him to accomplish his mission. 'Any suggestions for an alternative designation while interacting with the human children. Going by my true designation is unlikely to do more than cause them to distrust me.' The silent con signed once more. Various potential aliases running through his mind trying to think of one that would be suitable. 'Lenses that change your eye color to something considered normal among humans. Perhaps Nyx for the alias amongst the human children.' Lazerbeak suggested. With the necessary changes made, Soundwave opened a groundbridge in a remote alleyway in Jasper Nevada to begin his mission.
