Asi stepped out of the bathroom, her skin still warm and flushed from the shower. Droplets clung to her dark curls, which framed her face in soft waves. She tightened the knot of her bathrobe around her waist, the fabric clinging to her damp skin, and padded barefoot across the room, her gaze falling on a neatly arranged set of clothes on the bed. She raised an eyebrow, smirking slightly. Alaz's doing, no doubt.
The room was quiet, sunlight filtering through the curtains, casting a warm glow over everything. Asi had half-expected to find Alaz lounging somewhere, with that devilish grin of his, but the space was empty. She tilted her head, a sly smile curling her lips. Hiding, are we?
Asi let the robe slip off her shoulders, the cool air brushing against her skin. She was about to reach for the clothes when the door creaked open. She turned, not bothering to cover herself, and there he was—Alaz, leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed, eyes dark and playful.
"Well, well," he drawled, his gaze unabashedly roaming over her body, "look what I've found. My own little masterpiece."
Asi met his eyes, unflinching, and gave him a slow, teasing smile. "Admiring the view, Alaz?" she asked, her tone light, but her eyes sparkling with mischief.
He stepped forward, closing the distance between them, his lips curving into that signature smirk of his. "I'd be a fool not to," he murmured, his voice low and smooth. "But I have to say, I'm a little disappointed. I expected to come in and see you dressed... not quite so eager to get you undressed."
Asi chuckled, a rich, sultry sound. "Maybe I was waiting for you to help me," she said, letting her hands linger on the clothes for a moment before she turned her back to him, the robe pooling around her feet. She could feel his eyes on her, a weight that made her skin tingle.
Alaz moved closer, his fingers grazing the back of her neck, trailing down her spine. "You know," he said, his breath warm against her ear, "you make it very hard for a man to behave."
She half-turned, her lips just inches from his. "Good thing I don't want you to," she whispered, before pulling away, just out of reach. Alaz's eyes darkened, a low chuckle escaping him as he followed her, his hands slipping around her waist, drawing her back against him.
"You're such a tease, Asi," he murmured, his lips brushing against her shoulder, planting a slow, deliberate kiss there. "But I think you like it when I play along."
She tilted her head, giving him better access, her smile lazy and satisfied. "I think you like the chase, Alaz. Makes it sweeter when you catch me."
He laughed softly, his hands sliding over her hips, fingers splayed against her skin. "You make it too easy to get caught," he whispered, and then he turned her around to face him, his hands roaming, tracing the curve of her waist, the dip of her back. "Or maybe," he added, his lips hovering just above hers, "you just want to be caught."
Asi's eyes flickered with a mix of challenge and invitation. "Maybe," she said, her voice soft, barely a breath between them. "But I'm not that easy, you know."
Alaz grinned, his hands tightening around her, pulling her closer, until she could feel the heat of his body against hers. "No," he said, his lips brushing over hers, teasing but not quite touching. "But that's what makes you worth it."
He kissed her then, slow and deep, his lips coaxing hers open, his hands sliding up her back to tangle in her damp curls. Asi sighed against his mouth, her fingers curling into the fabric of his shirt, pulling him closer, feeling the familiar warmth and thrill that only he could bring.
When they finally broke apart, both of them were breathless, eyes locked, a silent understanding passing between them. Asi was the first to speak, her voice still playful, but softer now. "You think this is going to get you out of trouble?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.
Alaz laughed, a low, husky sound. "Trouble?" he echoed. "I thought I was the one who always got you into trouble."
She swatted at his chest, but her smile betrayed her. "Not this time," she said, a mock-serious tone. "You're late, and you've been sneaking around. What were you up to?"
Alaz shrugged, a twinkle in his eye. "Maybe I was planning a surprise," he said, leaning in to kiss the corner of her mouth, "or maybe I just wanted to watch you drop that robe."
Asi shook her head, her laugh echoing in the quiet room. "You're incorrigible," she said, but there was no real annoyance in her voice, only warmth, and something deeper that she didn't need to put into words.
"And you love it," he countered, pulling her in for another kiss, his hands sliding up to cradle her face. "Now, let's see if I can make up for being late."
Asi's eyes sparkled, her lips curving into a slow, wicked grin. "I guess you'll have to try very, very hard then," she said, her voice a whisper against his lips.
"Oh, don't worry," Alaz murmured, as his mouth claimed hers again, "I'm always up for a challenge."
