Julia slammed the car door as her and her classmate James ran into her parents house where they both would be staying tonight due to the weather the rain had begun "Oh!" "Yeah" exclaimed James "There's a new intern at my internship her names michella, she's wonderful...She's beautiful even!" Julia was shocked she had never heard rober talk about a girl this way certainly not her as they had been friends from childhood, at times she even thought he was gay but her suspicions were false. Her heart ached as he described Michella, Rose cheeks Red luscious hair Large Voluminous brown eyes that lit up the room. The women he loved so could never be her Julia was simply not enough. Julia stared at herself through the halls mirror her whole body could be mapped out with squares and rectangles, her sharp nose, her simple simple brown eyes, her brunette hair. nothing about Julia was extravagant or even great julia was maybe even a little plain nothing stuck out she was like a blank canvas nothing striking nothing beautiful. Oh but James he just wouldn't cease describing what a beaut Michelle was, Saved by her mother popping into the hall Julia mustered as much as she could without despair escaping her voice "she sounds cool!" and a quick "Hi mom!" and walked to her room as she heard their voices grow smaller and smaller while she walked down the hall. the rain pattered harder the sky grew darker and julias eyes swole of saddness anger and regret, Why couldn't james see what was infront of him she thought but then she remembered her, her plain figure nothing that stuck out compared to the beauty A woman with luscious red hair natrual of course and a shapely figure voluminous brown eyes, She imagined the woman twisting the ends of her hair and bringing them to her face Oh! How beutiful she was!
But then their was just julia. She sat in her arm chair and cried the thunderboomed and struck the rain attacked her window the neighborhood cat retreated under the car julias feeling became more vigorous like a wild ocean anger filled her she cried muffled her whimpers and her sounds she didn't want james or her parents to hear her oh how embarrased she was she lay on the arm chair and quietly sobbed stifling her wales. She looked out the window and saw her neighbor enter his house She saw the crackhead making her nightly rounds Oh! Their must had been a time where she was beautiful but life yes the monster the birther the beauty life had wrapped her beautiful graceful white long fingers and sucked the life out of her making her as white as lifes her selfs hands.
the thunder crackled like and whip the rain beat the window like a million soldiers on a trail in her arm chair she slowly fell asleep where life awaited the next morning
