35. The end of Percy and Erika

IF PERCY couldn't see Erika all day, then he'll just message her all day.

Ever since Percy found out about iris messaging, the boy has not stopped plotting on ways to get his hands on some drachma coins.

Ever since he went back to school. A LOT of crazy shit has been happening. Erika's step-father tried to rape her, but he went "missing," and Aaron got claimed, Madeline came back. Crazy, crazy stuff was happening in the camp, Percy has been non-stop messaging or video calling Erika every time he got the chance to do so.

The boy was head over heels, and he had no idea.

Now here Percy was, sitting on his bed at in his dorm after begging Iris herself for some more drachma's.

He waited for a few seconds before an image of her pretty face - I mean, face - appeared in front of him.

"Hey Erika," Percy greeted with a grin, as if he hadn't messaged her for the what must've been the fifteenth time today, and here she was wondering how he gets that many coins to be clingy with her. Not that she minded. She just thought she didn't deserve it.

50% of his time was talking to her, the other plotting ways to get more coins, how sickly romantic. Which was funny because Erika never experienced that in her entire life.

"Hi-" Erika responded as she placed his gift away. "Okay. You won't believe what just happened. But first of all, you can't tell ANYONE." Erika said, gazing at Percy's face from the call.

"You know I won't tell anyone your secrets." Percy teased, having that stupidly cute grin on his face.

"I'm serious." Erika responded as she watched his smile drop. He didn't say anything but waited for Erika to respond. Erika hesitated before she looked around the room. "I killed my step-father..." Erika said. "Okay, let me explain. The gods decided to send me back home. My step-father got mad that my mom wanted me to stay with her and away from him. He tried to rape me, and I murdered him." Erika explained.

Percy stayed silent for a minute. Which absolutely terrified Erika, but he slowly opened his mouth to speak. "Cool. Where's the body?"

"What the Percy. You can't just ASK where the body is!"

"Well, he deserved it!" Percy defended Erika. "Besides, you did nothing wrong. He tried to assault you, and you defended yourself. This is not greek mythology." He added, looking back at Erika.

"You think so?" Erika asked, taking another deep breath.

"Yeah- I'm not gonna just let some bitch assault my future wife and-"

"HOLDUP- future wife?" Erika asked as she burst out laughing. "Sure... sure." She said, giving him a side eye.

Percy tried to hold back his own chuckles before he laughed himself. "Be quiet." He muttered. "Hey... who's that behind you?" He asked.

Erika was confused as she looked at the window behind her. Before she could notice who it was. Something took control of her emotions. She slowly turned to look back at Percy. "I'm breaking up with you."

"Wait- what? Erika." Percy asked as he got surprised. "You're joking."

"No, I am not. I don't even want to see your stupid face. Percy."

Percy went speechless. Maybe Erika wasn't really joking. "Eri-" He began to say before Erika hung up on her.

Maybe a child of Aphrodite had cursed her, using their powers to manipulate Erika's emotions.

"Percy!" Percy's classmate yelled his name from the outside of the dorm. Percy hesitated. Trying to hold back some tears before he got up and left.

Well, that was the end of Erika and Percy.

Aaron had already found out about this. How did he even know that Percy and Erika were dating? Easy. Percy was whipped. So, one fateful night, Aaron shoved Maddy to the ground. "Who the fuck do you think you are?" He asked. He didn't really like Percy that much but he liked the boy enough to be his friend. Crazy I know right.

"What are you on about?" Maddy asked, standing up as she rubbed the dust off her clothes.

"I see what you did to Erika, I'm not dumb." Aaron said, looking at Maddy. "You gotta stop trying to take whatever Erika has."

"Oh? And does it look like I care? No." Maddy responded. "Besides. If I want HER. I'll get her."

"What the fuck? You seriously want Erika?"

"Why not?"

"Okay. Whatever. You do you. But leave Erika out of your games." Aaron added. "And stop manipulating her feelings. That's my sister, for fuck's sake."

"Okay? Does it look like I give a fuck? Because I fucking don't. Erika doesn't have a problem with it then why do you?" Madeline asked. "Besides, I know you like Annabeth. Now, Ares wouldn't like it if I told him that, right?" Madeline mocked, gazing over at Aaron.

"What? What the fuck are you on about? I don't like her." Aaron responded, rolling his eyes.

"Whatever. If you want to be safe around here, buddy, then I suggest you leave me and Erika alone and hangout with me too. You wanna protect the girl, right? She's your little sister?" Madeline mocked as he tried to not laugh.

"Yeah she is." Madeline responded as he rolled his eyes.

"Cool, don't care. Let me patch stuff up with Erika, like let me be friends with her again, then I'll let her go." Madeline responded. "You don't want her to hate you to the point she kills you, right?" Madeline asked.

Now that caught Aaron off. Aaron wasn't sure what to say to that. "No..?"

"Good. Honestly, I don't care about who this Percy bitch is. I just want my best friend back." Madeline responded as she backed up. "Stay safe. Bye!" Madeline said as Aaron just blinked.

"What the fuck just happened?" He asked as he went over to the Ares cabin, he didn't know what to do. He just knew that this was not his business, even though he didn't trust the daughter of Aphrodite as much as Erika did now.
