Season 1 ep 1

                                                                       The Vanishing of Will Byers

I was upstairs hanging out with Nancy. I new I would have to go soon but I didn't feel like getting up. I was laying on her bed while she was on the phone. I swear I was about to take a nap when my stupid brother came upstairs. He walks over to the door. God dammit I think while swinging my leg over the bed. I was so close to some sleep. I had slept terribly last night so I was hoping for some sleep while at the Wheeler's but me and Nancy got distracted doing homework and studying and then it was like 9 and I had to drive home. 

"Come on Alex let's go already." Dustin says waving me over. 

"I'm coming, gosh." I mutter. "Bye Nancy, see ya tomorrow." I say waving as I walk over to Dustin. She waves back to busy with the phone. 

"Nancy you want some pizza?" Dustin asks opening the box of pizza in his hand. She shakes her head and I close her door for her. "Alex, pizza?"

"No thanks I'm good. Let just get home I'm so tired." I say walking down the stairs and grabbing my jacket. "Also am I driving you to school tomorrow?" 

"Um if you could that would be nice." He says following behind me. 

"Okay, but just know if you're running late I will leave you're ass behind." I open the door and he follows behind me. We go outside and Lucas, Will, and Mike are all outside. Will, and Lucas are getting on there bikes. 

"There's something wrong with your sister." Dustin says, while I walk to my car. 

"What are you talking about?" Mike asks looking over to me confused as I lean on my car waiting. 

"She's got a stick up her butt." Dustin says walking over to my car. 

"Yeah it's because she's been dating that douchebag, Steve Harrington." Lucas says hoping on his bike. 

"Yeah, she's turning into a  real jerk." Dustin says opening the passenger door. 

"She's always been a real jerk." Mike says waving his arms up and then hitting them on his side. I stand up from where I was resting on the side of my car and open the drivers door. "She's no more of a jerk then Alex by the way." I turn and glare at him and he shuts up real fast. 

"One don't talk to my sister like that, and two your sister used be cool too." Dustin says closing the car door. I drive away and watch Lucas and Will follow behind. 

I turn into the driveway to the house and when I park Dustin hops out the car and waits by the top of the drive way to wave goodbye to Will. I head inside and throw my stuff on my floor before flopping on my bed and passing out. 

(Next day at school) 

I drop Dustin off and start walking to the high school which is just across the street. Lucas and Mike pass me but I see no Will. 

"No Will, today?" I ask them turning around so I can hear them properly. Lucas just shrugs , and so I turn around again and keep walking. He must not be feeling good then. I get all the way to my school when I remember I gave Dustin my flash cards to hold and I forgot to get them back. Sigh. I turn back around and walk over to them. 

There still where I left them thank god but two other kids are talking to them. Great these are the kids who have been bothering them for the last 6 months now. I walk up behind the two boys and place my hands on there shoulders so they can't run. 

"So you're the two boys who have been tormenting my brother and his friends." I say smiling. "So listen to me and listen to me carefully because I'm only going to say this once. If you ever lay a finger on any of them again I will make sure I leave no traces of a body. Be I've gone hunting before and trust me, being dragged half alive threw the forest before I lay you in your forever resting place, where even your momma won't find you. Now that don't sound like a whole lot'a fun does it? No, no it doesn't." I  don't let them answer before I replay for them, but there shaking there heads no. "Okay, good, now run along and don't ever let me see you talking to these boys again got it?" They both nod and I let go of there shoulders, before they go dashing away. 

"Wow that was cool, scary but cool." Mike says picking up his backpack.

"Thanks Alex." Dustin says, and Lucas nods his head. 

"Don't thank me, I only came back for my flash cards." I take my flash from Dustin and walk off again. 

(After school) 

I'm about to head to the 5th grade science teachers office to wait for Dustin when the chief of police walks up behind me.

"Miss Alex do you know where Dustin, Lucas, and Mike are?" Chief Hopper asks me. I stare at him confused.

"Did they do something?"

"No we just need to talk to you and the 3 boy's since you where the last ones to see Will Byers."

"Oh, um, there in Mr Clark's office I was just walking there." I say unsure of why this is happening. 

"Good then you can take me there." He says waving his hand so I can lead the way. 

The boys are sitting on the couch and I'm standing next to Dustin. The boy's are talking over each other and I'm about to hit all three of the upside the head. But before I can Hopper speaks. 

"Okay, okay, okay. one of you at a time, all right?" He says his hand moving slightly so try and calm the boy's. "You." He points to Mike, and Mike nods. "You said he takes what?"

"Mirkwood." Mike says confidently. I sigh and hit my hand on my head. 

"What?" Hoppers asks so confused about what the hell Mirkwood is. 

"It's from Lord of the rings, the road he's talking about is where Cornwallis and Kerley meet." I inform them knowing they had know knowledge of this, and the only reason I know is because Dustin wrote it on my map. 

"We can take you there if you'd like." Mike says hoping they let them come with. 

"Nope I know where you're talking about I'm fine" Hopper says. 

"We can help." Mike is trying to go with. It's his best friend after all. 

"Mike. You can't go with sorry but with this whole Will thing I don't think you're going to have much freedom anymore." I say trying to get him to drop it. Mostly because then Dustin and Lucas will want to go too and I don't feel like driving them but also because I want them to be safe. And not in the woods being killed by a bare, or kidnapped by a crazy man. It's bad enough I didn't drive Will home and now he's missing. 

Dustin comes up to me later that night.

"Alex will you please drive me Lucas and Mike out to the woods tonight I promise you don't have to go into the woods you just have to take us and then wait for us until we come back. Please." He begs trying to make his plan sounds better than it actually is. 

"No, Dustin. I'm not doing that. I'm already getting ready for bed we still have school tomorrow." 

"Please-" 

"No. That's that I'm not--- No I can't do that tonight okay. As mush as I want to and as much as I feel so bad because I didn't drive Will home so he could be safe, I can't I'm tired I didn't sleep last night, at all I was up all night. Other than the one time I fell asleep for 20 minutes and had one of my nightmares."

"You're still getting those? I thought the doctor gave you something to help." He says now more concerned than he was five minutes ago. 

"They did but I ran out three days ago and I can't pick up my meds for another two days." I say pushing passed him to get to my room. "Listen I love you kid. I know I don't say it enough anymore but I do I love you so please don't go out tonight and if you do stay together, have an extra flash lights and battery's, and if you do get lost keep a walkie talkie on you at all times. Got it?" He nods and I close my door falling onto my bed and passing out within seconds.
